People for Plants fact #1: Jamie Durie is one of the co-founders

Yes, that Jamie Durie who’s graced our TV screens for years, turning horrendous gardens into masterpieces. Alongside husband and wife team Anna Addicoat and Andrew Brown, Jamie’s rolled his lifelong passion for plants into a Certified Organic skin care range. “I’ve always been passionate about connecting people with plants and what we can learn from them to give ourselves a sense of wellbeing to make our lives better. This range gives me the opportunity to put together everything that I have learnt about plants and horticulture from around the world to develop a beautiful range of skin care products that actually work,” says Jamie.

People for Plants fact #2: Pregnancy was the reason behind its birth

While pregnant with her twin girls, co-founder Anna suffered from skin that was dry, itchy, irritated and sore. She wanted to cure it with something natural, something that contained ingredients safe for use during pregnancy, and so her husband set to work with an expert in organic ingredients. Together they created a soothing balm containing pure Certified Organic shea butter, and so began the People for Plants dream.

People for Plants fact #3: Its products contain lots of goodies

But none of the baddies, either. Yep, its skin care range – featuring body and facial moisturisers, facial oils, cleansers and hands creams just to name a few – contain the highest level of Certified Organic functional ingredients, which are sourced globally to ensure high potency and purity. You won’t find any parabens, sulphates of synthetics in the products, though, nor will you find artificial colours, silicones or petrochemicals. And that’s just the beginning of it. Oh, and did I mention these superb formulations won’t cost you an arm and a leg? Well, they won’t, which is bound to make your skin and your purse very happy.

People for Plants fact #4: Its eye cream is the absolute bomb

Truly it is. A good eye cream is a must for me, and the People for Plants Eye Cream most definitely delivers the goods. This is not only because it contains 91.4 per cent certified organic ingredients, but also because these ingredients are very hard working. The Kakadu plum contains 50 times the amount of vitamin C of oranges, which makes it a fabulous skin brightener; the calendula and chamomile gently soothe the delicate skin, while also protecting the skin to minimise fine lines; the aloe vera provides instant hydration; and the hyaluronic acid insures that said hydration stays locked into the skin. Brilliant.
