Nightly nourishing

Maybe it’s because my skin is finally moving away from being adolescent and blemish-prone and more towards maturity in honour of my 20s (better late than never, eh?), but recently my complexion has been in desperate need of nightly nourishing.
Obviously the chilly conditions are also to blame, but I’ve clearly lived through winters before this one, and this is the very first snowy season that’s had my skin in desperate need of nourishment, stat.
My normally oily-enough skin has always been just fine with a moisturiser during the day and a dabbing of eye gel before I hit the sack at night – but now I find myself needing to reach for my very own pot of Garnier Youthful Radiance Multi-Action Night Cream before I turn in, for a heap of hydration that lasts until I wake.
You don’t know how nice it is to finally wake up with silky smooth skin after sporting a nourishing night cream, rather than the oil slick that it used to produce. I think my skin is finally growing up!
What is your favourite night product?

I use either Trilogy's rosehip oil or their Age Proof Replenishing Night Cream. I love them both.

Just started using Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. It should be used day and night but I'm really tired in the evening after the dinner rush and just want to veg in front of the tele before bed. I should really make an effort as the times I have used it at night by skin has felt really hydrated of a morning.

It's great to hear about cheaper alternatives to night creams. They're really important to me as night time is when our bodies recover..

I'm using EL's hydrationist cream, and the idealist serum, they are amazing! Will be trying out the l'oreal nutriv (i think that's what it's called anyway) night serum for my hair next pay, that looks so good too!

That Garnier Youthful Radiance night cream does sound good! For the last few months I've been using a serum (Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair) underneath the Olay ProX night cream. But two nights ago I'd run out of the Olay ProX so I started using the Trilogy Ageproof Replenishing Night Cream with the Estee Lauder serum. For my eyes I was using some Pevonia eye gel/cream but I've just last night started using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Gel which I also used this morning - and loving it!!

I'm currently using EL's Advanced Night Repair along with Lancome's Hydra Zen night cream. My skin is enjoying this combination and has never felt more nourished. I will happily continue to purchase both these gorgeous products even in light of their expense as they work a charm. : )

I don't use anything at night...but I probably should! My skin has always tended towards being oily, but this winter I have been waking up with dry areas too...I will have to check out some products, starting with Garnier. Their products always smell fantastic!

I am using Nivea DNA Age night cream at the moment, but I vary what I use depending on my skin and how I feel. I find that with alot of products they take a few days to see some results and after a few weeks sometimes its like your skin becomes used to it , so I alternate alot. Sometimes I just use some Redwin Sorbolene with vitamin E because it is very hydrating and smoothing.

OMG Olivia, I could have sworn you were describing my skin here darl. I have had oily skin my whole life, and normally I need little hydration at night otherwise I wake up looking like I have jumped out of the deep fryer....BUT this year for the first time EVER I have found that my skin is actually thirsty and in need of extra nourishment also. I have never experienced dry skin before until now, and I agree the winter has definitely got something to do with it. I had also brought it down to my current skincare regime and the use of my Esthederm products which is working like a charm at combating my excess oil problem. Either way for someone who is always too oily it is nice to be able to lather on some nice hydrating night creams of a night. My latest favourite is the Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Serum which is simply awesome, I highly recommend it if you prefer something light weight that still really packs a punch :)

I love Trilogy Rosehip Oil, I even rub some into my little girls skin as well, it's just a beautiful product that leaves the skin soft and smooth, helps with scarring, wrinkles, dehydration it's just a WOW! product for night time.

Right now I'm trying Nivea Expert Lift Night Cream, but I think any night cream would work wonders on top of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex - apart from the effect it has in itself, the serum brings out the best in any product I apply over the top. I still love my Garnier Ultra-Life Pro Retinol Firming Night Cream though ♥
