Byron Bay is well-known for its laid-back lifestyle, penchant for whole-body wellness, and, of course, the Hemsworth brothers. And now you can get that Byron vibe in a bottle (minus the Hemsworths, unfortunately) thanks to Elsa Pataky’s upcoming skin care brand, Purely Byron.
Having lived in Byron with husband Chris Hemsworth since 2014, the model, actress and now beauty entrepreneur has co-developed a curated range of skin care that celebrates sustainability and wellness.
Purely Byron boasts a considered line of nine products, with 98 per cent natural formulations and sustainably and ethically sourced ingredients bottled in post-consumer recycled packaging. The range is made in Byron Bay and is free from synthetic fragrances, sulphates, and parabens.
“I have collaborated with two amazing women, experts in beauty and skin, to help me create a natural skin care range that captures the essence of Byron – celebrating its powerful native botanicals and serene calming spirit,” says Pataky.
The range includes a balm, clay mask, cleansing oil and booster serums, alongside beauty tools and accessories such as a 24K gold plated face sculptor and cotton muslin rounds.
Purely Byron aims to reframe skin care as a ritual rather than a routine. The entire range was created in collaboration with a local wellness expert to bring a hint of Byron Bay wellness to your everyday.
Purely Byron will be available from June 1st at www.purelybyron.com.

Are you a fan of Elsa Pataky? Do any of the products interest you?
The product packaging especially the colour looks very similar to Habitual Beauty.
That’s exactly what I thought when I saw this.
No thanks you
I dont know Habitual Beauty products. Will need to look more closely when next in the shops.
I am pretty done with celebrities and their skincare lines. The last time I tried one, it was rubbish. If I had a dollar for every time I have read something like “powerful botanicals”… I also presume this will be horrifically expensive and outside the budget of regular consumers.
Same it’s getting ridiculous
They all look and sound the same to me. And marketed same with some “known” face on it. Not very exciting. What works is always oldies cheapies plain stuff with no fluff and wo “known” face glued at it.
Love the name Elsa – I have an aunty Elsa and also the Elsa lioness in the movie is such a beautiful creature too of course! I lived up near Byron for three years back in the very late 80’s and early 90’s and the attitude and more really rubbed off on me! How could it not?! I was no where near as trendy a place as it is now though.
Special note to the new trendy buzzword that is a must on anything marketed nowadays: “sustainability”.
Yep! Typical greenwashing
Getting over greenwashing too!
Same.
Yes sometimes I wonder exactly what is meant by this word
Another day another celeb skincare line….
Exactly. Earning them more dollars.
I always wait to read reviews before buying new brands, and of course they have to be within my budget which is getting tighter these days.
Crikey, how many more skincare ranges do we need? Kind of over the celebrity products and agree with a lot of the other comments here.
I do the packaging
I mean like
Look forward to investigating Elsa’s new skin care line though the packaging looks similar to another skin care line. Elsa has amazing European skin and I’m sure the products will be not only beautiful but as natural as she is.
The packaging looks super stylish. But I agree with other comments about celebrity skincare/makeup lines. Too many doing it now.
I like Aussie-made products that are ethically sourced & use recycled packaging, but I’m not especially into celeb products.
Agree!
I also agree. Aussie made if possible.
I’m with you on that M8!
Not exactly.
Got to love Elsa! and really would love to try out her products!!
Not another celebrity with a skincare range. They are already famous, already rich, they don’t need my money as well.
Getting over celebrity skincare lines- celebrities aren’t dermatologists! Stick to acting, singing, or circus arts but please, no more skincare lines!
I’ve actually never heard of her, alot of these ‘celebrities’ fall under the radar for me. I would’nt mind trying it but I just know it will be very pricey without even looking at it.
Also, self care is a ritual and always has been. I find my routine quite meditative! Miranda Kerr founded Kora Organics years before other celebs got on the bandwagon.
It looks so good
I’ll stick with the brands I know and trust.
Looks so very nice very Organic Oils and great Skin Care Products. Elsa Pataky’s is beautiful Actress and Wife of Chris Hemsworth.
What about a sunscreen? Surely with their outdoor lifestyle they need it as we all do.
She looks great, but that doesn’t want me to buy this range even though I love the Byron vibes which they hav also tried to capitalise on. I think the general public are a bit more savvy these days and don’t buy into these celebrity endorsed products with a hint of greenwashing.
I have not heard of her
Not another launch, too many choices
Sorry, not a fan of “Celebrity” based or endorsed products.
This is getting ridiculous now. Stop, please, celebrities are getting greedy and thinking of ways to get easy money. It’s a pass from me.
An unpopular take: Elsa has invested in this brand but the brains behind it are the two other Byron based women. Elsa is the spokesperson/spokesmodel.
Curious how much the range will cost..
Yes I wonder how much??
I don’t really know much about elsa pataky, but the products look nice
I’m not a big fan of celebrity ranges. I don’t think they add much.
Yawn, another celeb beauty range that the market doesn’t need.
I haven’t heard about her.
Might try this range when it comes out in June
Not every celebrity ever having a skincare line *eyeroll*
Not every celebrity ever having a skincare line ugh
The products sound nice, but I hadn’t really heard of her before. I do know who the Hemsworth brothers are, of course!
She is lovely and hope her products are as well.
I agree with the other comments about ‘celebrity’ skincare lines, they are a dime a dozen nowadays.
