The knock on effect, according to the Australian Cancer Council, is that sunburn causes 95% of melanomas, which is the most harmful type of skin cancer. Other sunburn remedies should include placing a cool face cloth on your face to soothe your skin and avoid using skin care containing actives, toners and acne and blackhead products that may irritate sensitive, burnt skin even further.
