Cicaplast Baume B5 Balm Reviews

Absolutely amazing
Have recommended this to my family and use it on my 3 children eho suffer eczema. Frangrance products are all we use and this is so soothing and has stopped my children itching in their flare ups. Love thid also on my face. I love how it is thick and refreshing when on.

I use this cream whenever my skin is stressed out or I need to pare back my routine. If I've overdone the retinoids, too much acid, or microneedling. This cream is magic at repairing the compromised skin barrier to prevent bacteria getting in and causing havoc with breakouts.
The cream is quite thick, white with no scent. It doesn't sting or cause a reaction to sensitized skin but does take a bit to be absorbed into the skin. I use this during the day, evening after all my actives or on its own when my skin is stressed. It really is a gentle magic balm that is suitable for all types of skin and I use it on my babies skin when it is super dry or sensitive.

My skin is very hard to deal with in the wintertime. I start getting patches of dermatitis and eczema and my hands.

I started using this for my eczema. This is a thick gentle white cream that is ultra soothing and hydrating.

I put it on my eczema and cover it with a bandaid, letting the cream soak in. A couple of hours later, once the cream has fully soaked it, it has significantly reduced the redness, flakiness and soreness of my eczema. I now keep it around for any flair ups.

This has been fantastic this winter for combatting redness on my kids' cheeks due to cold and wind. I'd tried a few different things - lotions, body creams, etc., but they just weren't working well. It did take about 5 days of consistently applying this cream after bath time before the red, chapped cheeks disappeared, but they did disappear. I really like that this is a fairly thick cream that incorporates well into the skin (only a small amount is needed), and it's fragrance free.

I decided to invest in this balm after reading the glowing reviews. Mind you, this small tube is pretty expensive but the balm itself is really great at repairing the skin and can be used even on sensitive skin.

The balm is relatively thick and blends pretty easily. I noticed that if you apply quite a lot on, it leaves a subtle white cast so I tend to wear this only at night. I have always has sensitive skin with a damaged skin barrier from trying out so many skincare products so I was anxious when trying this out. I find that my skin feels less sensitive in the morning after and after using it for over a month, the redness in my skin has naturally reduced.

I wasn't necessarily expecting much from this as it's once of La-Roche Posay's 'cheaper' products but I ended up loving it. Like Lipikar Baume, this had lots of shea butter, a holy grail ingredient for me. I prefer the texture of this to Lipikar Baume though and feels really nice on the face. The addition of a Centella asiatica derivative is a huge plus - Centella is one of those next hype ingredients coming out of korean skincare and it's amazing.

I find it's great for my sensitive skin and a little goes a long way.

Like other LRP products, this doesn't have the addition of fragrance and I like that in this product. Not sure if the 100ml version is available in Aus but if you can find it, do yourself a favour and grab a couple of tubes.

I bought this when one of the stores was having a massive sale on skincare, out of sheer curiosity. Reviews on the internet had hailed this baume as a holy grail in repairing skin and I was piqued to give this a try, and I'm glad I did! I have terribly cracked back of my hands because of frequent washing of my hands, and no matter what I used, even my holy grail body lotion didn't solve the problem. But this baume did. After one night of application, I woke up to baby-smooth hands! I wasn't convinced, so I tried it again that night, and the result was exactly the same. This tube is slightly pricey without the discount, but I am definitely impressed and will continue buying this product. Highly recommend!

After seeing my well known Dermatologist, Dr Davin Lim who has a youtube channel that I suggest everyone watch (he's rather cute too which helps - but married :( ) He told me that I was suffering from a condition called Rosacea. This was not the first time I have been told this but it is the first time a Doctor has offered some advice and help! He not only recommends La Roche-Posay but uses some of their products himself.

Now about the cream. I am a convert, I now worship at the Temple of La Roche-Posay daily, twice a day in fact, and it is all because of this product Cicaplast Baume B5. Weird name but WOW does it make a huge difference IMMEDIATELY.

The cream comes in a 40ml tube which is boxed and it cost only $15.00 at my local pharmacy. It is quite rich and thick in consistency and there is zero fragrance which I love. If you know how Rosacea makes your skin feel then you understand the discomfort involved with the tightness and the heat and the stinging/burning that it causes. This cream actually gave me IMMEDIATE relief from all of the above. I can say that nothing I have ever tried has given me this much relief so quick. Even though the cream is thick it spreads incredibly well and you only need a small amount to cover your entire face. It does leave a slight film for a little while on the skin before it sinks in but I don't mind this at all. Rosacea can make your skin feel like it has a thirst that will never be quenched but this cream does everything it claims to do and more. So very gentle and soothing, a hero product to those with sensitive, reactive and irritated skin.

I bought this on a whim at the last Beautorium, not really understanding what the product was all about. I've used plenty of La Roche Posay in the past, and have loved everything I've ever purchased, so thought I wouldn't go too far astray. I was completely right with this little beauty as well.

The cream comes boxed, and is a 40 ml tube with a flip top cap, so is easy to dispense the small amount of cream required for your needs. Not a week went by after I received the balm, that my skin decided to dry out, and crack in areas on my face. I believe it was some sort of reaction to medication, coupled with the weather, and was very painful, especially around my lips, cheeks and nose. I whipped out the tube, after cleansing with an oil based cleanser, adding some argan oil while my face was still damp, an argan face cream, then sealed the lot in with the Cicaplast Baume B5. Immediately, my face felt soothed, moisturised, less tight and painful.

Consistency wise, the balm is quite a thick, viscous cream, and a small amount goes a very long way. The 40 ml tube lasts quite a while, and I've been dipping into it a number of times a day, over a period of four weeks, and still have some left to use in an emergency. It only has a very faint aroma, but is non irritating and short lived.

Occasionally I have used this on cracks in my hands and cuticles, and believe it can be used anywhere the skin needs to be protected and healed. It works like a charm and restores the skins natural barrier with it's assortment of healing ingredients, such as Copper, Zinc, Shea and B5 Panthenol.

I do have a little bit of a white face happening just after application, but it does sink in eventually, the whiteness dissipates, and you're left with a non greasy, but supple finish.
