I’m in a state of awe. I can’t decide which bit of Diane Kruger’s ensemble that she sported at the uber-hip Ray-Ban Re-Masters party this week that I liked most: her tuxe jumpsuit (who knew an all-in-one dinner suit could look so cool) or her juxtaposed pencilled brow and laid-back bobby pin.
Can the girl put a foot wrong?
Not in my opinion, no. Let’s be honest, there was more than a little doubt when she was cast as “the face that launched a thousand ships” back in 2004 – while there was no denying her model looks, the masses (myself included) were sceptical at the casting alongside pretty-boy Brad Pitt. Heck, I wouldn’t like my chances against a pre-divorce Brad either.
Oh what a fickle bunch we are though; now Kruger is constantly popping up on best dressed lists thanks to her individual style that sees her morph from sensual screen siren to the fashion-forward friend we wish would be our BFF.
Her latest red carpet look is effortless yet elegant – a perfect combo for the festive season.
