Be cool

Be cool

How to stay cool when it’s 782 degrees outside: that is the question. Yep, this one’s for you Victorian and South Australian ladies who must be hot, hot, hot. Not to mention fed up, fed up, fed up.

I feel for you girls, I really do. One day at nearly forty degree heat last Saturday saw all my glamour and modesty slip away quicker than Posh’s puppy fat. So I don’t want you girls to suffer the same fate. Be sure to snap up these cool cats as the heatwave continues:

Biore Rejuvenate Cooling Eye Gel – this supermarket sweetie is made with a unique moisture matrix that holds up to three times its weight in water. So skin will be kept hydrated, despite the killer temps.

Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skincare Sulfur Cooling Masque – this pot will get you through the balmy evenings, trust me. The potent, medication masque, designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, cleanses clogged pores, reduces oiliness and dries blemishes. Because sadly, no matter the temperature, shiny skin is never going to be en vogue.

Matrix Biolage Scalptherapie Cooling Mint Shampoo – the minty fresh shampoo, that contains kola nut, cleanses the scalp while the refreshing scent distracts you from external worries, like say, the fact that your skin is melting.

Dove Go Fresh Cool Body Wash – this light, cooling formula with the gorgeous scent of waterlily and fresh mint is a shower staple in times of hotness.

And last, but by no means least, do not be without a refreshing facial mist. Avène Thermal Spring Water and Be Genki Serenity Face Mist are always close at hand for me.
