Micellar Cleansing Wipes Reviews

I have very sensitive, dry, mature skin. After reading many positive reviews I was keen to try these affordable facial wipes. They do remove makeup & cleanse the skin however my skin went red where I had gently used the wipes. My cheeks stung , & my face & neck felt tight after use. I do have some broken capillaries on my checks & these stung the most. The pack does seal well & keep the wipes in good condition. Its a shame it does not suit my skin at all.

I understand the debate about wipes and I don’t use them every day but there are times when you need a good wipe. Although my preference is to use make up remover and a cleanser in the shower I find I sometimes still have panda eyes.
Enter my beautiful Simple Micellar wipes.
I love them.
I’ve tried so many brands and I’m sticking with these.
They work! No rubbing - they’re gentle on my skin and don’t leave it feeling dry.
I used them recently on s trip and they were life savers.
One wipe cleans everything off -leaving skin fresh and clean.

It’s no secret that I love the simple range, I can’t recall a single item with in this range that have not been happy with. My love affair with it started when I first visited England in 1996, and I love it as much if not more today.

These micellar water wipes a perfect for quick cleanup after a sweaty session at the gym or a busy day in humidity, or for me when I go camping.

Good for removing make up, whether I think her greatest asset is to most suck dirt from the deep pores, hence why I like them when I go camping.

There is no fragrance, no residue, just good clean skin. What more can you ask.

The cloth itself is quite soft and gentle on the skin, and can be rinsed and reused for other purposes if you need to—it will retain its structural integrity—again why it’s a favourite of mine when I go camping.

I have tried many different brands of makeup wipes but since i found these they are the only ones I have used since. Many other brands had either too strong of a fragrance or left weird feeling residue on my skin, but these have only a very subtle fragrance and don't leave any residue at all. Some other brands would leave my face red and with a slight burning feeling (I'm looking at you Neutrogena) but these never do. Also the slight texturing of the wipe feels like it does a better job of cleaning than the smooth ones.
They remove eye makeup really easily - I just hold it over my eye for 5-10 seconds and then wipe and repeat a couple of times to get rid of everything completely.
I use these to remove makeup before I wash my face - doing both of these steps ensures that my face is totally clean.
They don't irritate my very sensitive skin at all.

I picked these up from the supermarket because these they were half price and I was running low on my usual face wipes (Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing wipes).

The packaging claims to be able to "gently lift away make-up (even waterproof mascara)..." However I found that first the wipe I used was only just moist enough to remove all of my foundation, and hardly enough to remove my eyeliner and non-waterproof mascara. I found myself having to scrub at my skin to try to get it all off.

I am hoping that as I get to the centre of the packaging, that there will be more moisture.

My ultra high-tech method of choosing facial wipes is picking up a couple of whichever are half price at the supermarket. I've mostly been disappointed and considered giving them up for liquid micellar with a cotton pad - until I found these ones.
They seem to have the right level of moisture on the wipe and the texture of the fabric of it is sturdy enough to remove makeup without being abrasive to my sensitive skin.
It removes my long-last foundation and even does a better job with my waterproof mascara than most I have come across.
After use, there is no greasy or funny residue, and while my skin is slightly dry, it does feel as if I have cleansed my face and don't need to water wash it again before my night cream. It feels more caring and suitable to my skin than their anti-aging version.
Also definitely the best I have found for the late nights/early mornings when you are tempted to sleep in your makeup.
I think they're economical, and if you can pick them up at half price, I think they are miles above Aldi's Lacura which I have used because of the price point.

These wipes are certainly kind to skin, as I don't have to try very hard to remove every trace of makeup using these wipes - a lot of other wipes out there make it difficult to remove without rubbing or scrubbing. These smell very mild and feel so gentle on my skin. Because they are also so moisturising, I love having these on hand even just for a refresher wipe during the days I'm not wearing makeup.
I will always have a packet of these on hand.

These wipes were what first introduced me to the Simple range. I'd never tried anything with micellar technology and was curious to see whether it made any difference to the effectiveness of makeup wipes. I was pleasantly surprised and now they're my go to product!
