5 habits of people with perfect skin

We all have that friend/colleague/relative who is blessed with ridiculously good skin that doesn’t require a skerrick of make-up. *Sigh*
RELATED: Get great skin on a budget
Before you curse the beauty gods for giving you pesky pimples and an oily t-zone, we’ve figured out the five things perfect-skinned women do for a naturally glowing, healthy-looking complexion.
You can thank us later!

Habit #1: They wash their face religiously
Dirt, oil and make-up have a bad habit of cosying up in your skin and causing pesky issues like clogged pores, breakouts and the dreaded three o-clock oil slick. That’s why perfect-skinned people make cleansing their skin morning and night a top priority. If you’re not already doing this, start– just don’t wash your face more than twice a day as over-cleansing can strip your skin of its natural oils.

Habit #2: They exercise regularly
Studies show that girls who sweat it out often are rewarded with a clearer, more glowy complexion. Working up a sweat causes your pores to purge themselves of toxins that can cause pimples, and increases blood circulation to give your skin cells a healthy boost of oxygen. If that’s not enough motivation to hit the gym, exercise also reduces stress, which not only makes you feel a zillion times better, but can also help to keep skin issues under control. Time to lace up those runners!

Habit #3: They slather on SPF
Next time you see someone with perfect skin, take a closer look (without coming off as creepy). Does she have any fine lines? Sun spots or freckles? Uneven skin tone? Probably not, and no doubt it’s because she’s got her sun protection sorted. SPF is her beauty BFF for shielding her skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, and it’s not only in her day cream, but also in her foundation. But how is she so bronzed, you ask? That’s what spray tan is for!

Habit #4: They nourish their insides
You won’t catch a perfect-skinned gal chowing down hot chips and sausage rolls for lunch every day. Nope, these girls are serious about their eating well to look and feel amazing, both inside and out. Enjoy skin-loving foods like nutrient- and antioxidant-rich tomatoes and berries, and healthy fats like salmon and avocado, and watch your skin glow!

Habit #5: They don’t smoke
You’ve heard it before and we’ll say it again – smoking is harmful to your health and its effects show up on skin. Studies have proven that inhaling tobacco smoke decreases blood flow in the skin, which can damage the connective tissues and cells. So you can wave goodbye to supple skin and say hello to premature ageing, wrinkles and uneven skin tone, or just step away from the ciggies.
Habit #6: They supplement their diets
For many women, it can be hard to achieve the gut health necessary in order to support healthy skin, even when following a well-rounded diet. But beauties with perfect skin have a secret weapon: Skin care supplements. Formulated with skin-boosting ingredients such as herbs, vitamin E and collagen, these bad boys will bring you one step closer to a clear, glowing complexion.

I try to exercise, eat a relatively healthy diet and drink plenty of water and don't smoke, I wish I had perfect skin. Living in Australia with so much sun exposure doesn't help either.

My skin isn't perfect but it's as good as it's gonna get! I do all those things but I never used to cleanse religiously which was my major downfall I think. I also didn't eat as well as I do now but I have always used SPF.
