Five of the best cleansers for oily skin with large pores

The best thing about the world of beauty is the ability to play around with your look. You know, try new things. Test out new products. And it’s this kind of curiosity that’s plaguing bh member MazinAus right now.
MazinAus recently started a forum thread requesting new cleanser suggestions for her oily skin that also suffers from large pores and pigmentation. The best part is this: she’s not exactly unhappy with her current brands of choice, but she just wants to know if she’s missing out on any amazing brands; if there are any harder-working, more suitable products she’s not yet aware of. What a beauty trooper, huh?
So, having spotted an opportunity to throw some beauty knowledge someone’s way, I’ve grabbed it. With both hands. Here are five ingenious cleansers, ones that will help clear pores of build-up to keep them looking tight and smooth, help fade pigmentation and keep oil slicks at bay...
BEST CLEANSER FOR OILY SKIN #1: ASAP Daily Facial Cleanser
Jam-packed with goodness, this wash contains AHAs to loosen and remove dead skin cells, which means pigmentation is lessened over time and the skin is left smooth and soft. It also washes away impurities and make-up, which means the pores are left clean and less noticeable, and any oil accumulated during the day is washed down the drain, too.
BEST CLEANSER FOR OILY SKIN #2: endota Glycolic Clearing Cleanser
You’ll find everything from gentle AHAs (to exfoliate, and clear and tighten pores) and aloe vera (to hydrate), to glycolic acid (an anti-ageing powerhouse and pigmentation-fighter) and essential oils (for stress-relief and anti-bacterial effects) in this natural ingredient-packed cleanser. Using it will result in fresh, healthy, youthful-looking skin.
BEST CLEANSER FOR OILY SKIN #3: Environ B-Active Sebuprep
OK, so this is technically a pre-cleanser, but it has all the goods we’re after. Ideal for oily, congested skins, it contains salicylic acid and Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) to deeply clean the skin, unblocking pores and minimising oil at the same time. Brilliant.
BEST CLEANSER FOR OILY SKIN #4: Alpha-H Liquid Gold Anti-Ageing Cleanser
If you haven’t tried any Alpha-H products, MazinAus, please do. They’re grand. But this rich, creamy cleansing lotion in particular is designed to decongest and remove impurities for clean, less noticeable pores, while also hydrating the skin. It also gently resurfaces the complexion, which allows the glycolic acid to sweep away dead skin cells, and its two per cent lactic acid not only stimulates collagen, but helps fade sun spots and pigmentation, too. Amazing.
BEST CLEANSER FOR OILY SKIN #5: Ultraceuticals Ultra Clear Foaming Cleanser
Any product from Ultraceuticals is outstanding for targeted skin solutions, but this triple vitamin and BHA-packed cleansing foam is fabulous for clearing and purifying the skin, as it removes dirt and excess oils while unclogging pores at the same time. Add vitamins C and E, natural clove, sandalwood and eucalyptus oils to the mix and you’ve got your answer for glowing, clear skin.
What qualities do you look for in a cleanser? Have you tried any of these? And do you have any other cleanser suggestions for oily, pigmented skin with large pores?

I prefer a foaming cleanser, but not one that strips the skin

I love my cleansers to give skin a good clean but not dry out my skin. Deep down pore cleanse getting rid of built up grime is another thing I like in a cleanser. SandraXxX

Great introduction to some very interesting cleansers. I have been using a new cleanser recently and the same brand's face moisturizer, and not sure, but my face has started breaking out. So, I'm using the cleanser as a body wash and not using the moisturizer until I know more.
