The anti-ageing eye creams celebs swear by

Filler and facials aren’t exactly inaccessible in Hollywood, so a celebrity recommendation for anything that comes in a pot that we mere mortals can buy means a lot. Especially when said pot contains eye cream.

Why? Because, honestly, eye creams get a bit of a rep for being ‘useless’. But hey, if you trust the likes of Drew Barrymore, Victoria Beckham and Thandie Newton (and we definitely do), they’re far from it. Maybe you just haven’t found the right formula yet.

Luckily, the ladies of Hollywood are here to help. Here are their absolute favourites…

Kaley Cuoco: Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment

“I’ve tried so many under-eye creams, but I actually think that’s the best one,” Kaley said of this creamy Kiehl’s delight. “When you have under-eye circles, I truly think it makes a difference. Like, I think it actually fills the crevice a little bit.” In our eyes (pardon the pun), that’s the ultimate review.

Olivia Wilde: True Botanicals Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream

As a mum of two and director/actor extraordinaire, we’re going to go ahead and guess that Olivia sometimes has to rely on eye cream over a full eight hours. Her bag-brightening, puffiness-soothing secret weapon? According to her Instagram, it’s this turmeric, licorice and caffeine combo, perfect for hydrating, illuminating and smoothing sensitive skin around the eyes.

Drew Barrymore: Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector

Drew doesn’t mince words when it comes to her eye bags: “It looks like instead of being impossibly happy throughout my life, I look more like a ghoul who came from the graveyard. I’ve tried everything,” she told Women’s Health, naming Clinique’s dark circle corrector as her go-to.

Victoria Beckham: Cosmedix Eye Genius Brilliant Eye Complex

“This is beyond!”, Victoria declared via an Instagram Story, drawing followers’ attention to her personal fave: this formula from Cosmedix.  Her facialist Melanie Grant later backed up the fact that Victoria really does rate it, snapping a pic of ‘VB’s skin care faves’ that included the eye cream.

Jennifer Aniston: Vaseline Lip Therapy

Jen thinks out of the box when it comes to eye cream; in fact, she actually uses a Vaseline lip balm instead. According to Hello, she “applies a generous amount under each eye before bed,” and then relies on ice cubes to deal with puffiness in the A.M.

  1. I like how Jen Aniston keeps it super simple and affordable with Vaseline! I've tried many eye creams/serums but the one product I always seem to fall back on is Redwin Sorbolene Moisturiser with Vitamin E. Super cheap and not specifically for your face, but this cream can be used all over for multiple reasons (great for makeup removal, shaving cream, and of course general moisturising). It doesn't irritate my eyes or face at all and doesn't break me out in these areas either (I have very sensitive oily/acne-prone skin) and leaves the skin feeling well-moisturised without being greasy/oily. I love it for my hands too. Seriously give it a go if you haven't already 🙂

  2. I’ve been using the Kiehl’s for a long time, and I would highly recommended it! It’s not the cheapest option, but it lasts for a long time, and it works. It feels beautiful to use.

  3. I used to really like the Clinique Even Better Eyes. I don’t know why I stopped buying it. I went into my local Priceline searching for some Alya Skin eye cream yesterday, but they had run out.

  4. I always use eye cream but must admit that I sometimes wonder if it is doing anything to help the little lines around the eye or should I just use day and night cream ?

  5. I stopped using eye creams many years ago. I never found one that actually did what it claimed to do and I am not referring to only supermarket buys but some luxury brands also.
