How this Reddit user removed practically all her blackheads

Blackheads are the pesky problem that everyone suffers from. Whether you have a seemingly flawless complexion or have suffered the wrath of cystic acne, blackheads are the under-the-radar pimple that is almost always present.

A post from Reddit user Yoofka however, may have just solved our blackhead problems forever. Posting on thread Skincare Addiction, Yoofka takes us through the skin care routine and products responsible for this insane before and after shot.

Yoofka explains that she begins her routine by removing her makeup using Lancome Energie de Vie Cleansing Oil (bh recommends: La Mer The Cleansing Oil). She then uses the Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Green Tea Face Pads, which work to manually and chemically slough off dead skin cells, before lathering up with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser. She then uses Differin, a prescription-only retinoid cream.

Now, the unexpected part of Yoofka’s skin care routine is something she explains she picked up from her Korean mother – she applies moisturiser before toning. “My mother’s side is Korean, and I grew up in South East Asia; I’ve just been taught from 13 to always moisturize first to lock in the moisture and then tone afterwards because toner is never as moisturizing…I’ve always noticed that my skin was brighter and softer and more supple if I toned last, like my [mum] and grandma always taught me,” Yoofka says to Popsugar.  She applies Aquaphor Healing Ointment (bh recommends: Ultraceuticals Ultra Rich Moisturiser Cream) and then tones with Akaran Moisture Lotion.

“My skin has never been more supple or texture-less in my 22 years! HG routine for me, for sure,” she posted.

While this is definitely an unusual approach to a skin care routine, we can’t argue with the Reddit user’s dramatic skin change after four weeks of sticking to this routine.
