We use an eye cream, in part, because the delicate skin around our eyes require special TLC and can become irritated by the potent ingredients in our creams and serums. So, it only makes sense to apply the same logic to our SPF. The skin around our eyes is among the thinnest and most delicate on the body, making it susceptible to irritation and damage, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. And, due to our hesitation to bring SPF too close to our waterlines, our under-eyes are often left susceptible to burn.
So while the majority of sunscreen formulas are suitable to be brought up underneath the eye without the risk of irritation, if you have sensitive skin, live in fear of formulas that pill under concealer or just want the peace of mind that you’re using an ultra-gentle formula, an SPF infused eye cream might be a product for you to try.
SUPERGOOP! Bright-Eyed 100% Mineral Eye Cream SPF40
With its fast-absorbing, peach-tinted formula, Supergoop’s mineral eye cream preps the under-eye for concealer while protecting it from UV damage, ageing and hyperpigmentation.

Have you tried an SPF eye cream? If not, would you?
As long as they don’t burn/irritate my eyes as SPF tends to do that to me
omg yes the bane of my existence – especially when driving!
omg thanks bh – these are wonderful eye products! Always looking for good spf products for the eye area!!
Yes I agree, I am always wanting something to help with under my eyes. These are all quite expensive though..
I have never tried one but probable should has I have very sensitive skin
I have’nt used a spf eyecream before but yes I want to, It is amazing they have’nt been around since tinted moisturiser.
I use my face SPF around my eyes. It sometimes irritates so a specific eye one would be much kinder to sensitive eyes. Like the Clarins.
Haven’t tried SPF eye creams before and I probably should be using one during the day. The Clarins one looks nice and easy to apply. The price isn’t listed on the article so I clicked on the link and it’s $71.
I use a regular eye cream for day and night and layer my facial SPF on top during the day
I am yet to try an eye cream with spf, but it’s a great idea!
Already use a Face Sunscreen 50+ I feel that is better it seems to work for me.
No haven’t. Dr. Roebuck spf50 works so well to go all over, eye area too. No burn and so lightweight. From this list, Supergoop looks as the only option to try. Other ones, eye burn.
I wear sunnies outside anyway so don’t see the need for an eye cream with SPF.
I’ve used the philosophy ultimate miracle worker spf15 which is quite a nice eye cream although I don’t usually worry about an spf in my eye creams. I’m a firm believer in always wearing sunglasses when outside.
Never used SPF eye cream. Can barely get on board with general eye cream.
I don’t feel the need to use this type of product but if I spent a heap of time outside I probably would
I can recommend the Philosophy shown. It is excellent.
I’ve tried several eye creams over the years & tbh, I haven’t noticed much difference with any of them.
I didn’t know you needed different products for under your eyes to the rest of your face. Since getting a chemical burn or irratation I’ve used a sensitive sunscreen and zinc.
More things for me to try!
I use eycream but it doesn’t have SPF
Awesome good to know
ooh i love eye creams
Usually wear a Face Sunscreen 50+ but most of the Ones above are so very expensive, out of my reach.
These all sound so good
Dermalogica are great
I’ve never heard of SPF eye creams. I just put my regular SPF cream on every day of the year with no problems.
I didnt know such a product exists actually.. this is new to me. I’d like to try one of these products out
I haven’t, all the eye creams I used were SPF free.
I am yet to try an eye cream with SPF in it.
I love using eye creams and I am very keen to try the ones with spf because not many SPF creams agree with my eye area causing my eyes to water or burn. Since its an eye cream with SPF, I am convinced it won’t cause any irritation while taking care of my under eye area.
I have heard of SPF eye cream before. But not tried any.
Most eye creams give me zits or milia. I take my sunscreen right up under my eyes. I try to be careful, but sometimes it gets in my eyes.
I need to try these products. My eyes get so irritated in summer when I’m wearing sun cream – these might be the solution to stop my eyes watering so much in the sun
Ordered derma lmd eye serum This is the best under eys serum. I have been using this since last month just twice a day and result will be visible in 10 days❤️❤️
i would love these
expensive
Is that Supergoop the same as Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand?
as long as it doesnt burn ouchy that hurts.
