Merry Christmas from bh!

Merry Christmas, beauties!

We hope you’re all enjoying this wonderful day with family, friends and loved ones. No matter how you’re celebrating, these are the moments you’ll remember forever, so be sure to cherish them.

Some of our best memories are from this time of year, and to spread some Christmas cheer, we thought we’d share them with you.

My favourite Christmas memory is…

“Waking up on Christmas Day – running down the stairs to see if Santa ate the biscuits and drank the milk we left for him.” –bh’s Christine

“When The OC made Chrissmukkah a thing and Hannukah finally got some December limelight.” –bh’s Carli

“When I spent Christmas in Paris with my family and we did a lunch cruise past the Eiffel Tower – that was pretty special! All my other memories just involve eating way too much and being a beached whale in the pool – also awesome.” –bh’s Whitney

“Trekking through the Christmas tree farm to find the biggest tree to cut down.” –bh’s Issy

“When we spent Christmas at Jervis Bay with family and friends. It was a real Aussie summer Christmas with a BBQ, bikinis and Santa hats.” –bh’s Jess

“Definitely buying and decorating a real Christmas tree with my family every year when I was little. The scent of the pine needles through the house is one of my all-time favourite smells!” – bh’s Rosie

“A few years ago, we had Christmas in New York. On Christmas Eve, we were eating dinner at the Rockafeller centre by the ice-skating rink when it started snowing. A guy cleared the rink and got down on one knee with the biggest bunch of red roses I’ve ever seen and proposed to his girlfriend among the snowflakes and fairy lights. By the morning, there was so much snow the city completely shut down – no one could get in or out of New York! So we spent Christmas day on lockdown in our hotel suite sipping champagne with the fire blazing and dancing around to old records I’d bought for $1 at a flea market in Tribeca.” –bh’s Astrid

“Picking out a new decoration for the tree every year with my mum. We’ve now built up such a special collection!” –bh’s Aja

“Walking outside and seeing a trampoline in our backyard!” –bh’s Caitlin

“I’ll never forget spending Christmas Day at my Nonna and Nonno’s house when I was about seven, sitting in a circle with all my cousins while my parents, aunties and uncles handed out our presents. We had to wait for everyone to get their presents before we could start opening ours and it was so exciting when we finally got to rip in! I don’t know why that memory has stuck with me – nostalgia, I guess!” –bh’s Anna

“My first summer Christmas when I was on a working holiday in Sydney. In typical Brit style, I spent it on Bondi Beach with a Christmas tree in the sand, drinking cheap champagne!” –bh’s Janet

“A few years ago, my mum’s side of the family came to Sydney. It was amazing to have everyone in the same place for once (I don’t think Mum has ever been so happy!) and to see their very Italian reactions to a scorching hot Aussie Christmas. I have vivid memories of convincing my uncle that yes, boardies ARE a must on our beaches!” –bh’s Katia

“When my Poppy (grandfather) dressed up as Santa and delivered presents to my brothers and I. I would have been about four or five and it was the most exciting thing ever at the time because I thought I was meeting the ‘real’ Santa Claus!” –bh’s Annalise

What’s your favourite Christmas memory? Has anything happened today that you’ll remember forever?
