The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion

bh’s Rosie says:

“I have incredibly dry skin on my body and it’s also prone to sensitivity, so when I found out that The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion tackles both of these issues, I knew it would be my new skin saviour. The first thing I noticed about the lotion was its beautiful smell. Milk and honey has always been a go-to favourite scent for body products for me – it’s such a comforting and calming scent, without being too overpowering.

The lotion itself is really light and creamy, and absorbs well into the skin, without leaving me with any stickiness. As I have dry skin, it can tend to be quite itchy at times, but this lotion has a cooling and calming effect on my skin. It claims to give 48-hours of moisture, but as I shower morning and night and use body wash, I can’t attest to this, however it did keep my skin comforted, soft and hydrated in-between showers. I would definitely recommended this body lotion to anyone with sensitive, dry skin that’s craving long lasting moisture.”

Organic Care Baby Moisturiser

bh’s Michelle says:

“I’ve been a huge fan of baby massage since my son was born nearly four years ago. It’s such a great bonding and calming experience, and all you need is a quiet place and body lotion. I’ve been using the Organic Care Baby Moisturiser on my daughter and have found it to be a great product for her delicate skin. It’s a vegan moisturiser and fragrance free, but has a natural coconut scent. It has no mineral oil, parabens, SLS, SLES, ALS or ALES, but contains colloidal oatmeal which is gentle on young skin, and the lightweight formula is easily absorbed without leaving a sticky residue. I’m also using the Organic Care Baby 2 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo and Organic Care Baby Bubble Bath products at the moment and am loving this range!”

NIVEA Cellular Anti-Age Volume Filling Pearls

bh’s Bree says:

“I have quite sensitive skin and am always apprehensive when trying new skin care. That being said, I’ve used different NIVEA products over the years and it’s a brand I really trust to care for my fragile face. The pearls in NIVEA Cellular Anti-Age Volume Filling Pearls look almost look too go to use, however, when you disperse the formula the pearls burst to release moisture onto the skin. I only have to use a small pump of product, as a little goes a long way and too much product can be difficult to rub in. The product absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving a greasy residue, and my skin felt instantly hydrated. After two weeks, my fine lines seem less noticeable, and my skin’s texture is smoother. My make-up also sits better on my skin when applied after the serum, so I have been using the serum instead of my primer – bonus!”

Avon True 24K Gold Lipstick

bh’s Sophie says:

“My lips are always dry, so I rarely wear lipstick. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of a bright matte lip or a velvety nude hue, but since my lips are constantly dry I tend to avoid it. But when I saw that the Avon True 24K Gold Lipstick contained vitamin E for hydration, I decided to give it a shot. And I am SO glad I did!

The formula is really moisturising, so my lips didn’t feel as uncomfortable as they usually do when I wear colour. It felt really creamy and smooth when I applied it, almost like a balm. I chose the shade French Rose – a perfect rosy pink and a great everyday shade. I was shocked by how pigmented the colour was since other moisturising lipsticks I’ve tried usually end up being barely visible on my lips. Immediately after applying the lipstick I got compliments on the colour and how it suited my complexion. It contains particles of real 24K gold (so glamorous!), which gave my lips a nice shimmery finish. I had to reapply it a few times during the day but since the formula felt so nice on my lips, I didn’t mind swiping on a few extra coats. I’ll be swapping my boring balms for this lippie from now on.”
