How to target sagging neck skin

You take care of the skin on your face religiously right? But have you ever heard an editor or an expert say “your face ends at your boobs”?
Your neck and chest are the most commonly neglected areas in your routine, and as such problems such as neck sagging are often not addressed as early or as often as they could be. The skin on your neck and decolletage is up to ten times thinner than the skin on your face, meaning it responds to the damaging effects of environmental stressors and ageing much faster. With ingredients that are more effective than ever, it’s time to address your sagging neck skin with a few key anti-ageing products.

Kosmea Revive Illuminating Essence
While technically a facial product - this Illuminating Essence can be carried down to the neck and decolletage for ultimate anti-ageing benefits. Formulated with rosehip oil, CoQ10 and Vitamin C, it utilises restorative antioxidants to even tone and texture while simultaneously enhancing skin’s elasticity and providing a boost of hydration.
Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Fortifying Neck Emulsion
So we know the benefits of retinol are endless - from speeding up cell turnover, and boosting collagen production, it is the hardest working ingredient you could have in your routine. Adding ferulic to the mix (a plant-based antioxidant) protects your skin from free-radicals and further damage from environmental factors. These ingredients (as well as lactic and hyaluronic acid) work to deeply hydrate, firm and refresh your neck area. Find it at mecca.com.au
NuSkin AgeLoc Tru Face Essence Duet
Formulated specifically for the sensitive neck and decolletage areas, the Essence Duet combines tripeptides and ethocyn in even amounts with a unique air-controlled dual chamber. Targeting signs of ageing - tripeptides and ethocyn replenish firmness, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and assist in evening texture, meaning neck skin will be looking younger and firmer in no time. I am much better now at using products on my neck & décolletage - wish I had started sooner. I don’t use a specific product just the same moisturiser as on my face.

I haven't tried any of these products but I do use the Dr Hauschka decollete cream which is fantastic. It's expensive, but i have noticed a distinct improvement in the crepey looking tissue on my neck area.

I try to moisturise my neck whenever I moisturise my face. Hopefully it will help.

That's very interesting.. I literally don't put anything but soap on my neck... sometimes lotion. I have recently found out that Fish Oil really helps with wrinkles since it's very good for the skin. I've been taking either 1000mg or 2000mg a day. It is also amazing for your eyes health.

I always use my face products on my neck, usually it's because I've put too much and I'm trying to wipe the excess off my fingers

There are also those medical grade silicone strips you can use. They make them for all different areas of your face, neck and décolletage. I think hey are supposed to prevent wrinkles and improve elasticity

The first time I used a cream designed specifically for my neck and decolletage was in 2012 and it was by Lacura. It was a large jar so it lasted quite a long time. I recall my eldest sister telling me that the hands and neck are the two body parts that gives away a person's age so I suppose I have paid attention to those areas. However, I've never been able to afford expensive neck-specific creams so I tend to use facial oils e.g. macadamia, argan, etc. instead. Also, for a moisturiser during the day, I use SunSense Face and Neck moisturiser with SPF50+. Massaging the neck in upward strokes each night with the back of my hands also helps greatly in minimising sagging.

I’ve only been extending my face care to my neck and chest are in the last few years - maybe too late but might help.
Skin on neck is definitely thinning.
