I tried the Rodan + Fields hydration serum and it works
There’s been so much hype around Rodan + Fields ever since it landed in Australia in 2017. I’m here to tell you the hype is real. I tried the Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Serum and the results were instant.

Serums are easily one of the most important products in any anti-ageing skin care routine, so I was excited to try the Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Serum. Simply put, serums are more effective than a moisturiser since they can penetrate the skin deeper by reaching the deep cells and bring into play their benefits. If I had a dollar for everytime a skin expert told me hydration was the key to staving off wrinkles, I’d be one rich lady. Which is why these nutrient-packed liquids have become the secret weapon for keeping my complexion smooth, hydrated and even-toned looking.
From the get-go I was impressed with Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Serum. It comes in a silver vial that makes it look quite scientific and credible. Tick. I unscrewed the top and applied it with the dropper applicator. It came out perfectly. The serum wasn’t too runny, so I could apply it to my face quite easily without any excess.
The serum comes with some big promises. According to their website, ‘their proprietary 3D3P Molecular Matrix draws in moisture from the air and locks it in, creating a water reservoir that delivers continuous, all-day hydration and smoother, softer, more radiant-looking skin.’ I’ll take some of that, please. But it also contains Hyaluronic Acid, which is one of my all-time fave hydrating ingredients.
I’ve been diligent in using it regularly and applying the serum morning and night for about a month now. The liquid is so lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky. Every time I apply it, my skin instantly looks brighter and firmer - that must be the hydration part taking effect. My skin even feels soft to touch.
Will I continue to use this product? Hell, yes. It’s now a solid inclusion in my daily skin care routine. Thanks, Rodan + Fields!
