5 things that work miracles on your skin

Scoring flawless, youthful-looking skin isn’t an easy feat, particularly if you have some naughty habits.
So, to help you get your glow on and achieve #complexionperfection, try these tips and tricks…
GUZZLE GUZZLE
If drinking plenty of water every day isn’t high on your list of priorities, it needs to be – starting now! Get guzzling, girl. Drinking at least two litres of water daily is essential for hydrating both your insides and complexion. Not keen on plain old H2O? Mix it up by adding a squeeze of lemon or lime to an ice-cold glass of sparkling mineral water, or try adding some berries to a chilled bottle of water for a refreshing twist.
GRAZE ON HEALTHY GOODIES
Remember that pizza you picked up on your way home from the bar the other night? And that fried chicken you had for dinner yesterday? Well, chances are the side-effects of these stodgy foods are now popping up on your complexion in the form of whiteheads, excess oil or dark circles. What you feed your insides shows on the outside, so nourish your bod with nutrient- and antioxidant-rich foods like tomatoes, blueberries, salmon and avocado. Hello, glow!
NAIL A FLAWLESS FINISH
When it comes to perfecting your complexion, we’re all for shortcuts and letting natural beauty shine through – the quicker, the better, we say! So skip the moisturiser and foundation, and opt for the multi-tasking Garnier Miracle Skin Cream. This skin-perfecting cream is formulated to instantly adjust to your skin tone for a smooth, even and luminous complexion. Ideal for all skin tones and types, this product helps to correct the signs of ageing, including wrinkles, dark spots and a lack of firmness, radiance and hydration. The results? A flawless finish and younger-looking skim. Oh, and it contains SPF15 for added protection from the sun’s rays. Team it with the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream Eye to target those fine lines and dark circles.
CLEAN BEFORE YOU DREAM
Do you tend to slip into bed wearing BB cream or – god forbid – a full face of make-up? We’re all guilty of it, but it has to stop! While you snooze, that leftover make-up is slowly making its way deep into your pores, causing blackheads, pimples and even infections. Stock up on a quality make-up remover, and stash some make-up wipes in your vanity for nights when you can’t be bothered washing your mug properly. Your skin will thank you for it!
NIX NASTY HABITS
Can’t resist popping out for a mid-afternoon puff? Or going overboard with the booze every weekend? Smoking and drinking regularly doesn’t only affect your health, but it can also cause your skin to age prematurely. To keep wrinkles, dark circles and uneven skin tone at bay, ditch the ciggies and booze (or at the very least, cut down) – stat!
How do you keep your skin looking flawless? Will you be trying any of these tricks?

All pretty common sense really. Although I do like the booze - that's the hardest one for me to keep in check!

I'm pretty good with all of these. The only fault is going to bed with makeup - with a migraine I just don't care, even for makeup wipes.

I find it hard to drink 2 liters of water and eat healthy food. I'm lucky I don't gain weight which I think is a reason why I continue to eat it, apart from loving the taste.

I've been drinking water at room temperature for years. It was the best switch ever.

One more, don't fry yourself on the sun like me all the time without any SPF for hours at time...you'll end up with bad pigmentation. Yikes, not nice at all, so hard to get rid off!!!

Grazing is what I do best, but I will have to convert that to healthy snacks I think :). I have always known cleansing to be important as you can suffer from all kinds of nasty symptoms on your face if you don't especially later in life.

I like the sound of the Garnier Miracle Skin Eye Cream....something to erase dark circles especially the older we get, that is light and blends with your skin tone is always a plus.

Great tips. I always always remove all make up before bed no matter how tierd i am or cold lol. Can't stand sleeping with makeup knowing it's been worn for 8 hours or more and then you want to sleep with it on.

I'm a big alkaline water drinker (2 litres in summer, but not as much in winter) and I avoid junk food and I always cleanse my face before bed (no matter how tired I am!). My skin certainly isn't perfect but it would be lot worse if I didn't try my best!
