Amazon’s Genius $4 Tool Is Solving Our Greatest Cleansing Pet Peeve

As time goes on, we’re learning to fight the urge to buy into every single TikTok fad. Sometimes, however, we come across a viral hack that will change our lives forever. Or, at the very least, solve a basic first world problem like making sure water doesn’t stream down your arm when you wash your face.

After one too many fake tan disasters and soaking wet pyjama sleeves, TikTok users are employing microfibre wristbands to prevent the unavoidable leakage that comes with cleansing your face.

And as the thought process goes when introduced to any life hack: how did we not think of this before?!

“wrist spa washband set” on Amazon!!

According to TikTok personality @jacimariesmith these wrist towels are “the most genius invention in the world,” along with electricity, the internet, all medical advances and aeroplanes, of course.

So where can we purchase a set of these absorbent towel wristbands? You probably already knew the answer to that: Amazon of course. But be quick, they are selling out fast.

A set of four pairs will cost you $35, meaning each band is just over $4. Not bad considering you can throw them in the wash and reuse them as you wish.

As it goes with Amazon there are plenty of variations to choose from, but check out the ones we’re eyeing here.

  1. I don’t have any tips as this doesn’t seem to happen to me. Or maybe this is a tip actually?! I keep my head right above basin standing bent over like I’m rinsing my skin whilst I’m cleansing with my elbows out to each side. Never thought of it as a tip it’s just what I’ve always done. I don’t stand up straight and look in the mirror to cleanse therefore the water doesn’t run down my arms. Hope that makes sense.

  2. I used to have this problem and it usually happens if you try to wet your face too thoroughly before applying cleanser and water trickles down your arms in the meantime. I don’t do that anymore and don’t have this issue. I just mix cleanser with a bit of water before application or straight up put the cleanser on my face before washing, although I tend not to prefer the latter since it can dry out my skin if I leave it on for too long. I really just don’t see a need for this product otherwise. I seem to see a version of these wristbands used when people workout to wipe their forehead sweat.

  3. I don’t support amazon. or tik tok. Have no need for extra stuff in my life (what a hypocrite, just ordered another pair of insanely great shoes!), though i do wash face in the shower, so no need for arm scrunchies.

  4. I’ve been thinking about this since I first read the story, and while wet sleeves are annoying, I don’t know that I’d buy a special product to address them.
