Hi, I’m Alicia and it’s my absolute pleasure to introduce myself as your new beautyheaven editor. I’ll be dropping by with a few Editor’s Updates during the coming weeks before officially slipping my platforms under the desk on 23 June. In the meantime, I’ll be reading all your Member Comments to become better acquainted with you.
Firstly, a little about me: I’m addicted to eye creams, have a tendency towards over-exfoliation (yes, naughty) and can’t recall what my toes look like without polish. Pampering is something every woman deserves daily, and I believe totally in the “look good, feel good” philosophy.
Coming from a newspaper background, I’m constantly on the quest for the next big thing (whatever it might be!) and will be sharing it with you the moment I find out. I also happen to be a great listener, so please let me know what’s on your mind, or your lips, cheeks and eyes for that matter.
To me, beauty is everywhere. Just this week I’ve sensed it in the soft, smooth skin of a toddler, the powdery smile lines of an elegant grandmother and the gentle scent of a friend’s freshly washed hair. A perfectly arched brow and expertly applied red lipstick never fail to catch my eye as well.
I’ve also experienced it when meeting such globally revered beauties as Miranda Kerr and Sarah Murdoch who radiate great health, Catherine McNeil who has the best cheekbones in the business and the lovely Alyssa Sutherland who makes freckles seem glam.
And I see it whenever I’m with my girlfriends and sisters, too. Wherever it is, I look forward to exploring beauty in all its facets with you.
