How to get rid of oily skin & blemishes

If you’re anything like me, summer and your skin don’t exactly get along. When the warmer months throw humidity and sweltering temperatures your way, you become a hot, sweaty mess, and your skin looks and feels like an oil slick – with a whitehead or two for company. I’m sure many of you can empathise with these #greasyskinproblems. Am I right?
The good news is, with a smart skin care routine, you can clear your skin of oil and grime and promote a fresh and clean complexion all summer long.
Here's four easy steps to banish oiliness and blemishes this sunny season!
1. RINSE THE DAY AWAY
Meet your new best friend: salicylic acid. It’s super effective at fighting blemishes and deep cleaning pores to prevent future breakouts. To put your best face forward, choose a cleanser containing salicylic acid such as the Bioré Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser, which is also formulated with menthol and eucalyptus to refresh and revive your skin. If you’re dealing with blocked pores thanks to excessive oil and sweat (summer has its side effects!), try a cleanser that contains salicylic acid to combat blemishes and dissolve clogged dirt and oil. We love the Bioré Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser.
2. GET SET TO SCRUB
Make an effort to give your skin a good scrub twice a week and your skin will thank you with a fresh glow, minus the grease. Exfoliating helps to whisk away dead skin cells and dirt on the surface of the skin, which, if left there, can trap dirt and oil in your pores. Enriched with Skin Purifying Technology, the Bioré Blemish Clearing Scrub contains polishing beads to rid your skin of blemish-causing dirt and oil. It also features a fresh mandarine scent, so it’s the perfect addition to your summer skin care routine.
3. KEEP IT CLEAR
If you’ve never used a toner, then your skin is in for a treat. A complete multi-tasker, the Bioré Triple Action Toner cleanses, tightens and clears skin for a shine-free complexion. Also formulated with salicylic acid, this toner goes one step further than your cleanser to unclog dirt, oil and blackheads from the pores and keep breakouts at bay. Pop a few drops on a cotton pad and swipe over dry skin after cleansing and exfoliating, and follow by applying moisturiser.
4. MANAGE ITS MOISTURE
In summer, it’s essential to make sure your skin is getting the hydration it needs to stay healthy and balanced all day long. Go for a non-comedogenic moisturiser that won’t clog your pores, such as the Bioré Nourish Moisture Lotion SPF 15+. This lightweight lotion is rich in green tea, vitamins E, C and E, and extracts of chamomile and aloe to soothe and nourish skin, without leaving behind that greasy, heavy feeling. It also contains SPF15+ sun protection, so you can play safe knowing your skin’s protected from the sun’s damaging rays.

I don't have oily skin, but dry skin. I only get blemishes when my face doesn't like an ingredient in a product.

Would love to see some of these products in a towel type wipe form that's quick and easy to wipe over the face on oily days or in the morning when my skin tends to be quiet oily, would be a simple and quick and easy way to keep it under control.

Not really tips, just an ad for Biore. I've tried most of their products, but they're not really for me.

My skin always get oilier in summer. I think moisturising is the most important step to control the amount of oil being produced by your skin.

I find that even after cleansing and toning my skin it can still be oily, which is why I only wear moisturiser at night as I find wearing under my makeup is just too oily for my skin. I think the key is a really good strong toner that's actually going to do a deep toner to the face not just the surface.

My skin is combination, sensitive skin. I laughed as I typed it out. I really should start using my apricot scrub and follow with the mud mask again!

I just wash it more often, make peace with it, and wait for cooler weather to arrive.

I used to have extremely oily skin and acne which I hated. I used every product and nothing worked. So I did some research - coconut oil. If you use organic, cold pressed coconut oil after washing your face with warm water (then massage oil in then rinse off) you should lose the excessive face oil and pimples. Only thing that worked for me.

Yes! My skin is combo-oily, so usually summer means more oil, more greasiness and more dirt and dust! Although i have to say,i dont get pimples and acnes much during summer, i suppose for the sun.
I use the blotched paper to get rid of my excess grease and i try to use really light moisturiser and sunscreen
