Oily skin issues, solved

We’ve all been there – you’re working away for a few straight hours, then nip to the bathroom to freshen up only to discover you look like a sweaty mess. Your skin has gone into overdrive, leaving you with a shiny slick and some pesky whiteheads that need to be dealt with ASAP. But before you go on a popping, wiping and swiping rampage, check out our top tips and tricks for dealing with greasy skin.
FIGHT OIL WITH OIL
Yep, it sounds strange, but products containing oil can actually work wonders on an oily complexion. Overactive pores tend to produce loads of excess oil, leading to blockages and blemishes. So, to balance all that oil production, use an oil cleanser morning and night. We love the AEOS Skincare Cleansing Oil De-Maq and Sanctuary Spa Youth Boosting Cleansing Oil as they clean skin while helping it to maintain its natural moisture balance.
STAY SHINE-FREE
Ditch your pore-clogging moisturiser and foundation for oil-free formulas that allow your skin to breathe. The Proactiv Original Proactiv Oil Free Moisture with SPF 15 moisturises, hydrates and helps to absorb excess oil throughout the day. Our advice? Doll yourself up with an oil-free foundation such as Designer Brands Lightweight Oil Free Foundation and setting powder like the MOMMA HD Powder to keep your complexion looking matte and fresh all day long.
BLOT, BLOT, BLOT
It’s the bane of every oily-skinned girl’s existence: that greasiness that sets in around your nose, forehead, chin and cheeks around midday. Next time, avoid reaching for a tissue to blot the shine away. Instead, get your mitts on a pack of blotting papers like the Eminence Organic Skin Care Green Tea & Hemp Blotting Tissues or Hollywood Fashion Secrets Oil Blotting Tissues. These little beauties soak up excess oil and won’t mess up your make-up. Love.
TREAT IT TO BEAT IT
Swap your weekly deep hydrating mask for one that’s formulated to treat blemish-prone skin, such as the Mieux Derma ZN + S Antitoxin Mask or Mary Kay Botanical Effects Mask Formula 3. These masks are a real treat for oily skin as they deeply cleanse pores while nourishing and purifying skin. Pop the mask on every Sunday night before hitting the hay so you can start the week with a fresh, blemish-free complexion.

Vivi emojis, haha. I don't konw whether it's lucky that I have the dry skin, but my sister did have the oilskin, she has the trouble on her skin, and I use to share a website about how to take care the oilskin, and hope it can be useful to you, too. All about skincare

Absolutely agree with fight oil with oil. Also fight oil with water - i cant believe how much a hydrating routine controlled my oil. When i tried to strip oil my skin only became worse!

My skin is SUPER oily which I wouldn't really mind if it didn't come with blemishes. It is so annoying wearing makeup to cover the blemishes only to find out that it has slipped during the day and gives you even more blemishes the next day.

I have found lately that my skin is quite oily so much so that my boyfriend constantly tells me you can fry a schnitzel on it. I have been using an oil cleanser system from Rubifresh and love it. I've also noticed my moisturiser has to be a lot lighter and more hydrating (not so rich) as it makes my skin more oily and makeup slide around my face. Next stop: beautiful skin!

My skin is dry, and it probably is dehydrated (based upon how quickly it sucks up liquid foundation).

Sure of it, summer is the pits for oily skinned beauties. Not only looks oilier, but due to the humidity the skin always feels damp and trying to get skin care products and makeup to stay on is always the biggest problem.
