How to get rid of blackheads for good

Have you ever thought that your pores simply exist to become blocked with oil and dirt? We SO agree! Well, believe it or not, they actually play an important role in the health of your skin.
Pores produce natural oils to keep your skin moisturised, but the over-production of oil and sebum, make-up, pollution and dirt can cause pores to become blocked and develop a black appearance.
It seems that no matter how well we cleanse our skin, most of the time those pesky little blocked pores just don’t budge, so try these tricks for extracting blackheads for good - no squeezing required!
#1: Clean deeply with a blackhead-targeting cleanser
Get your mitts on a cleanser that contains salicylic acid to penetrate deep into the pores and break down pore-blocking dirt and oil. When cleansing, be sure to concentrate on the areas where your blackheads are most visible, which is usually the t-zone – the nose, chin and forehead.

#2: Up your exfoliation
Twice a week, follow your cleanser with a gentle exfoliating scrub. Concentrating on your t-zone, massage the scrub over your skin in circular motions to gently lift away pore-blocking dead skin cells, oil and dirt. Also, choose an oil-free exfoliator to help balance out your skin’s natural production of oil.

#3: Add pore strips to your weekly routine
Yes, they may make you look silly for 15 minutes, but pore strips are ridiculously easy to use and can make a huge difference to the appearance of your blackheads. Once a week, cleanse and exfoliate your face, make sure your nose is wet, then peel the plastic strip off the pore strip and apply it to your nose. Fifteen minutes later, gently peel that baby off, along with a whole lot of gunk from your pores!

#4: Treat yourself to a blackhead-blasting facial
Ever dreamed of a treatment that would suck the grime out of your pores? Well, guess what – it does exist! The HydraFacial uses a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip and various serums to remove dead skin cells and literally suck your pores clean of blockages to reveal refreshed, blackhead-free skin. Along with a tonne of other benefits for your skin, with a series of treatments the HydraFacial can shrink the appearance your pores over time.

I use to squeeze, I don't anymore, they don't come out. Exfoliating and masks like clay keep them at bay alittle

Oh I have the struggle too! Just my nose.. When I remove them the pores are more noticeable.. For a few days then they shrink but it's not long before the cycle repeats! I must admit they are slowly reducing but I will need to try clay masks and that facial! Pore strips for me always look like heaps of gunk is coming out but no visible change to the skin! I will try again !!

honest bhas and ahas are the only things that work...there gentle and won't damage the skin ...pore strips are too damaging. ..if you can't find bhas lotions try a product with bhas cleanser and leave for a few minutes.

Chemical exfoliation followed by pore strip works every single time for me! I do not feel I need a facial for the longest time!

Hate blackheads...they're so stubborn! A facial really helps but wish they didn't exist in the first place.

exfoliation & pore strips +BHA works for me.

Agree, BHA is actually the only thing that keeps my pores clean, exfoliation just irritates my pigmentation, so it gets worse. I wish BHA did not dry the skin out so I can use it forever =D

Biore charcoal pore strips are a budget-friendly winner. Gets more oil out than the regular strips. I use one every 2-3 weeks.
