15 reasons why we love...

You know how much we like celebrating a birthday right? So we couldn’t exactly let Bioré’s birthday pass us by without making a bit of a song and dance about it.
Bioré Pore Strips is celebrating 15 years in the beauty business, and to mark the occasion, they’ve got a gift for you! The limited edition Bioré Pore Strips collector’s tin contains the Pore Strips you know and love – you know, the ones formulated with a patented system to visibly remove congestion from the nose and T-zone (how satisfying is it when you see those buggers come out huh?).
Haven’t tried them out? Well get on to it! Here are 15 reasons why we love Bioré Pore Strips:
1.) Pores can store dirt and oil for up to 20 years (gross right?), but it takes only 15 minutes for a Pore Strip to remove cellular build up.
2.) There are three kinds of Pore Strips - Original, Ultra Deep, and Combination, which come with an extra strip for detoxing your chin or forehead.
3.) Pore Strips have tiny slits along the top and bottom to create a custom fit for every nose.
4.) Blackheads won't go away on their own and can stretch your pores with time. And no one I know wants larger pores that’s for sure!
5.) Squeezing blackheads can cause scarring, but Pore Strips gently lift debris from pores without damaging your skin.
6.) Pore Strips are super easy to use - apply to wet skin and when the strip sets firm like papier-mâché simply peel from the edges to the centre - done!
7.) Like all Bioré products, Pore Strips are dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.
8.) Pore Strips make a difference you can see from the very first time you use them - the proof is on the back of the strip.
9.) Ultra Deep Pore Strips are formulated with tea tree oil, menthol and witch hazel to tackle extra stubborn blackheads.
10.) Like karaoke and sushi, Pore Strips are another great Japanese invention - in fact they're still made in Japan.
11.) They work just as well on men's skin so your boyfriend to give them a go too.
12.) Pore Strips are so effective at clearing debris from pores you only need to use them once every three days.
13.) Applying Pore Strips after a shower when skin is soft and warm can increase their effectiveness.
14.) You can't shrink pores permanently but clean, clear pores definitely look smaller.
15.) More than 67 million Pore Strips were sold last year: 4.1million of them in Australia – so they must be on to a good thing!

I'd have to say getting my belly button pierced for my 15th birthday present was pretty memorable... My older sister was so jealous cause she was only just allowed to get it done at 17 !!

Biore strips are the only thing that can remove my dead skin cells and oil sebum around my nose (as disgusting as that sounds)

I think 15 was the most awkward year of my life, I was growing out a bad haircut and fringe, had really bad acne and has a C cup when most of my friends were flat chested. :( I love these strips and I love ripping them off to see the great results (I mean who doesn't stare at the little forest of gunk you have just removed!)

My most memorable moment relating to the number 15 would probably have to be the time when I managed to get rid of 15 make up items in one day, tough work as I'm a product hoarder!

I arrived in Australia a decade ago, and met my now husband, and the reason why im still in Australia, on the 15th (which was also my parents wedding day) - we married several years later, coincidentally which also happened to be on the 15th. We always make sure to celebrate both days.

I've only had good experiences with strips, Biore in particular. But I can relate a 15 story. I was organising a company retreat. 15 sales reps landed in Sydney then boarded a bus to the Central Coast. They basically hijacked the bus. They held the poor driver to ransom with horrendous singing, ceasing only when he agreed to stop for booze supplies. Then followed mooning, vomiting, more singing, and probably other fabulous acts no-one told me about. I wasn't on the bus but I saw the driver's face when they arrived. He was white, thin-lipped, the very picture of stoic silence. Poor, poor man. Despite the beginning, the conference was a success.

I remember using these when I was younger and just loved that it did such a great job on pulling out all the blackheads... I need to start using them again, as they are the best thing ever... Just hope that it doesn't hurt as much when pulling off...

I guess when I think of 15 I think of Taylor Swift's song fifteen. It sounds stupid but at that age I was completely in love with my first boyfriend, we were together for 3 years and I thought we were going to get married. The song has the lyrics "when you're fifteen and somebody tells you they love you, you're gonna believe them," and at the time this was so offensive to me. Taylor Swift is doubting our relationship because of our age? But I learnt the hard way not to doubt Miss Swift, when, like her friend Abigail, he turned out to be a boy "who changed his mind". I still hear the song now and feel a little pain but I can also have a laugh to myself because she's right, I really didn't know it at fifteen.

Probably when my four year old son counted to 20 but got a bit confused and called 15 'five-teen'. He was close!

When I was very young I lived at number 15 (of a particular street) and for a while (whilst I was young) I thought I lived at the ONLY number 15 in Australia so never knew what the street part of my address related to!

The day my house was due to settle my lawyers rang up and said "can you get into town in 15 minutes, there's a problem with your paperwork, we need you to resign and it's holding up all the other houses settling?"! It was school holidays, but I did it!

Wow, Biore is 15! Happy Birthday My most memorable moment relating to 15. When I was young I had a thing about looking at all the purses in department stores. My parents knew where to find me if I disappeared on shopping trips. One day as I was opening and closing purses I noticed something odd. A red pures had some money in it! $15! I ran back to my parents to tell them what I found, and my dad told me I could take it out and keep it. $15 was a lot of money to me then, more than I'd ever had before. I don't know what I spent it on but it was a very happy day.

Happy Birthday Biore! The most memorable thing about the number 15 is on the eve of me turning 15 years old, the building next door to my apartment caught on fire and we all had to evacuate because they were afraid the fire would spread to our apartment as well. My family joked that I had too big of a fire to blow out on my birthday.
Don't worry, no one got hurt.

My most memorable moment was when my partner had been out so I thought I would have a DIY pamper session. I had a nose strip on when he knocked at the door, when I greeted him at the door he was speechless. He didn't understand what it was. I asked if something happened first and than asked why am I paper maching my nose! Once I explained what they were he asked if he can try one I now can't leave them around him without a few going missing!
