Eight-week acne challenge: the results

Eight-week acne challenge: the results

If you’ve been following the Danne Montague-King eight-week acne challenge, no doubt you’ve been amazed by the progress Rebecca’s* skin has made. With intensive treatments and a strict skin care routine, plus updates at the three and six week mark, Rebecca had to be fully committed to seeing the eight weeks though in order to reap the rewards.

Find out what she had to say about her last fortnight of treatments and whether her skin is as clear and refined as she’d hoped…

“I had my final treatment last night at the DMK clinic in Crows Nest, which involved a muscle-banding treatment (aids in strengthening skin) combined with the signature Enzyme facial, which I’ve spoken about in my previous posts.”¨”¨“

When I began my skin care journey with DMK two months ago, I had no idea what to expect. Little did I know that the next eight weeks would change my life. Yes, it might sound like the biggest cliché, but it’s the honest truth and you will see this from my photos. My confidence has sky rocketed and I feel ‘normal’ again. No longer am I afraid of being seen without make-up. I don’t even use concealer on my cheeks anymore, as there are no more spots to cover up.  My main goal throughout this journey was to clear up those red spots that were all over my cheeks (have a look at my first photo) and that goal has now been accomplished.”¨”¨“

So would I continue using DMK products? Absolutely. Yes, it is a financial commitment, but seeing how successful my journey has been so far, I wouldn’t risk the results by using any other brand as my DMK products have been personally prescribed for my skin. I recognise that for those who are time poor, the thought of having to apply so many products on to your face morning and night may seem unappealing, but I promise that once you get into a routine, it’s not a big deal at all. I actually get excited with my morning/evening routine now as I know that the products are definitely working. ”¨“

Would I recommend DMK to other people? Absolutely. The therapists at the Crows Nest clinic are beyond wonderful and I cannot speak highly enough of Elisha, who treated my skin over the past eight weeks.

“So where to now? Well, my scars have started to fade slightly but are still not yet perfect. I didn’t expect them to disappear in two months, however, as I know, this is something that takes time. You can’t lose weight overnight; the same goes with correcting your skin issues. In saying that, I am psyching myself up to get a peel with DMK in the coming months to completely get rid of my scars. But that is a story for another day and when that day comes I will more than happily keep you guys updated on my progress.”

What do you think of the efficiency of Danne Montague-King products after seeing these results? Would you use the products if you suffered from acne?

Treatment one

Rebecca suffered from both red, angry spots and acne scarring that wouldn’t budge. Her confidence was low as a result.

Treatment two

By week two Rebecca’s spots were already beginning to clear.

Treatment three

By week 3, Rebecca had noticeably clearer skin, with only some acne scarring visible.

Treatment four

By the time we reach the half way mark, you can really see a noticeable difference in Rebecca’s skin!

Treatment five

By week five, Rebecca’s skin seems noticeably clear and much, much brighter.

Treatment six

After treatment number six, Rebecca’s skin is beginning to look as though she’s never suffered from acne.

Treatment seven

At the seven week mark, we can see clear skin and minimised acne scarring. The need for concealer is almost entirely eliminated.

Treatment eight

Well, the image really speaks for itself, doesn’t it?
