The Yves Saint Laurent Paris Eau de Parfum Spray is a feminine fragrance that captures the essence of romance and features the scent of rose in full bloom. The first notes are hints of violet and bergamot; while the centre of the fragrance is made up of light powdery accents of may rose and iris. Completing the rose accord are notes of sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla. The fragrance comes housed in a crystal flacon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A retro classic floral scent A cute floral scent which feels a little retro to me - it's very feminine and lovely to wear. It suits for either day or night and after wearing for a little while I can smell a vanilla undertone. I like this scent when I'm not feeling like something super heavy, but still something that I am aware of wearing. Perfect for a sunny day when I am wearing a vintage type frock and want to feel super girly girly. You don't need to use too much for a long lasting scent. I like the fact that this scent stays on my clothes for a while afterwards. This is a classic scent that has been around for a long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has a vintage feel This edp feels so vintage to me. Not just because I have smelled it years back, but the floral combo and powdery touch with sweet undertone makes it smell so 'dated'. Not in the bad way, just that...maybe it is carnation and violet and powdery part that make it smell old. Aldehydes, flowers, iris...very dated. Lasting power is good and it is crowd-pleaser. Can be worn whenever. I just can not handle that strange undertone that these kind of fragrances (Chanel line has this) have , cat wee note. Sweet, sour, powdery old floral.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from a little old now, don't like it at all make me smell like old ladies I don't mean to sound rude but this scent has been around forever and is getting a little old now, it needs a revamp. My mum used it and my older sister used it regularly. For whimsical reasons I gave it a go and immediately regretted it. It smells strong at first go, after it warms it doesn't get much better. You smell like baby powder x 10, roses and some undefined chemical smell I can't put my finger on but most certainly don't like, almost like vinegar with flowers in it. Was completely underwhelmed by this fragrance - one that has seen it's glory day come and go I am guessing somewhere in the 80's. Maybe I have an odd nose and maybe with someone else's skin chemistry they will have better luck, but I smelt like an old lady when I wore it and hubby hated it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rosy Paris has been around forever and I've tried it quite a few times over the years. I always think of it as a rose based fragrance but when I tried it recently was surprised to find that it has other notes as well. I think you can smell the Iris and Vanilla and they round of the fragrance so it's not so sweet. It does have a powdery smell about it and it is a little musky as it ages. I think that this would suit an older demographic overall as it is an old fashioned sort of fragrance but still pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A classic roses based scent I absolutely adore Paris from YSL, and have loved it & owned it over decades. This is a scent that really appeals to the rose lover & is my favourite roses based scent. The rose notes are obvious from first spray & stay through the perfume as it dries down. It's not overly sweet though - just a beautiful blend of floral notes that work well with the rose notes to create a scent that's a joy to own & a delight to wear. A classic scent for a good reason - it's just so beautiful.
