About the product:
The Trilogy Age Proof coQ10 Eye concentrate comes in a 10ml cream white and purple plastic squeeeze tube with a silver metal cap and a metal round applicator.
The consistency of the eye concentrate is quite runny; it has the consistency of a serum. It is neon yellow in colour and must be blended in thoroughly or there will be visible yellow tinges underneath the eyes.
It is very lightweight in feel, does not feel at all greasy or oily.
The metal applicator is very cooling and refreshing on the eye area.
My thoughts on the product:
A quick disclaimer: I have used this eye concentrate on it's own and over the top of The Ordinary Caffeine eye treatment--I strongly reccomend trying the two together as the combination of the two together have made a huge difference in actually visibly lightening and lessening the severity of my dark circles, which is something I have been struggling with for years!!
Using this treatment on it's own it is okay, it is very lightweight in feel and can leave a visible yellow tinge underneath the eyes if it is not patted in thoroughly.
It isn't overly moisturising using it on it's own; it feels cooling and refreshing when applying but this is mostly due to the cooling sensation the metal applicator provides.
Then I tried applying immediately after applying my The Ordinary Caffeine eye treatment.
The two treatments are amazing when paired together; TO's eye treatment is not at all hydrating it is an active treatment that tightens and treats the eye area. The Trilogy eye concentrate tops it off with an extra caffeine boost, lightweight hydration, moisture and makes the eye area look noticeably visibly brighter, more rested and wide awake.
My dark circles are significantly less prominent; my under eye area does not look so puffy and tired.
I find that I do need to be very careful when applying the concentrate as it is so runny, it is easy to apply too much. About half the size of a pea is plenty per eye. If too much product is applied the eye concentrate does not fully absorb and leaves behind a yellow tinge (which happened to me a couple of times).
The final verdict:
On it's own it is okay, a basic lightweight eye treatment. Paired with the active eye treatment beforehand (morning and night) has made a huge noticeable difference. My eye area looks so much better! I will definitely be continuing this combination as it is a winner and I will go as far to say that this combo may actually be my HG eye treatment. Very highly recommend trying.
