I love the Schwarzkopf Extra Care range of shampoos and conditioners. They are ideal for my hair type. I usually purchase the 400 ml size of this conditioner, but sometimes the 250 ml size is on sale so I get that one. I love the price of this conditioner even when it's not on sale.
The plastic bottle has a flat flip top lid so you can store it upside down in the shower caddy and access every last bit of the product. The attractive gold packaging looks great in the shower.
This conditioner contains 8 oils including argan oil, safflower oil, macadamia oil, olive oil, apricot oil, rosehip oil, sesame oil, and almond oil. It also has panthenol, glycerin and liquid keratin. What a drink for the hair!
The conditioner is advertised as suitable for longer hair prone to split ends. That's me! It is suggested that the product will improve combability, which is what my knotty, frizzy hair desperately needs.
The conditioner has a thick creamy consistency and a slightly nutty scent. The scent does remain in the hair for about a day, but it's not strong.
The instructions say to massage into hair and rinse out. I usually leave it in for a couple of minutes so it can work its magic, put a comb through my hair to get rid of knots and then rinse it out. For shorter hair you wouldn't need much of the product, but my crazy hair needs bucket loads for each wash, so a bottle of conditioner does not last long.
But the end result is worth it. shiny, frizz-free hair that I can easily comb. Does it repair the hair structure as suggested on the packaging? Not that I can see - only a good cut would do that. But my hair is soft, manageable and not prone to further damage, and that's a blessing in itself.
I'll keep repurchasing this as long as Schwarzkopf keep making it.
