Instructions say to apply evenly onto damp hair before blow-drying or onto dry hair before using straightener or curling iron. I prefer to spray each strand before curling or straightening. It takes longer, but I feel it gives superior heat protection that way.
This spray leaves my hair sticky to the touch for half an hour after styling. It still looks OK, but I hate the gross feeling.
The smell is like grapefruit with a bit of cucumber. It's a mild smell which doesn't linger.
It took me a while to work out the nozzle. You have to take off the squirting arm & remove a grommet, then replace the squirting arm. After removing the grommet, the squirter worked, but it kept falling off. I've uploaded step-by-step pics onto the Beautyheaven forum.
