The Pantene 3 Minute Repair & Protect conditioner comes in a very sleek-looking golden 180ml squeeze tube with a flip top lid.
It is very thick, silky and creamy in consistency, it has good 'slip' and is very easy to work through the lengths and ends of the hair.
The scent is that of a majority of the other products in the Pantene range (they all smell virtually identical)--sort of like granny smith apples, a little bit of raspberry..sort of caramel..it is a lovely scent, by far my favourite part about the product.
I love how it lingers subtly in my hair for quite some time after using.
For referrence, my hair is waist length, quite thick, wavy and dry at the ends with quite a few split ends and breakage at the moment.
I have previously used Pantene's shampoo and conditioners in the past and swore off them for a long time as they left my hair weighed down, coated with silicone and caused my hair to become quite lank and lifeless. After trying, and loving, their new micellar range I have a newfound curiousity about the rest of their range and how it has changed after all these years.
I can safely say this formulation is much better than the old formula; rinsing out their conditioners was very difficult for me as it would leave a gross film on the lengths of my hair. They have fixed this heavy coating issue; this washes out easily with no residual film weighing down my hair, no sticky after feel, no gross lank, oily feel...hooray! Very impressed!
I have been using as a treatment mask; a minimum of five minutes no more than once a week, after shampooing. I will not be using this one as a daily conditioner or regular conditioner due to my past issues with silicone and product build up from their conditioners in the past.
After rinsing my hair feels very soft, deeply moisturised, so shiny and lightweight. Easy to brush and no need for a leave in cream. It does nothing to repair my split ends but it does help soften and moisturise my hair.
I find it is quite concentrated and I really do not need to use much product; about the size of a 20c coin is plenty for the lengths.
Very impressed with the new formulation, the old ones were quite disastrous for my hair. This is much, much better. A huge improvement.
I will be purchasing again when on special and most likely will be trying the other versions as well.
