I'm not a waxer - never have been, and until I tried these Marzena Natural Facial Wax Strips, I never thought I would be, and especially not my face, but I've changed my mind...
I have peach fuzz which means my face is covered in tiny downy soft hairs which are almost invisible to the naked eye, and not detectible at all if I'm wearing foundation. It's never been a problem until recently when I noticed that my lipstick "bleed" was becoming more pronounced - I put it down to an accelerating ageing process, which of course is the primary cause, but on close inspection with a magnifying mirror, I could see that the lipstick (and especially gloss) was actually getting caught on the fine hairs above my top lip and making my lipline look even more uneven...
Interestingly I made this discovery a couple of weeks before the Glosscars Marketplace, and when I saw these on one of the display tables, well, I figured it was fate. So I tried them. So simple to use, no mess, no fuss, no tubs of melted wax, barely anything to dispose of afterwards, and the fact that the clear strips are bio-compostable is an environmental bonus. I followed the instructions to warm the cellophane and its contents between my hands for a few seconds, pressed the waxed portion along each side of my top lip, whisked them off, and all the fuzzy bits were gone, clean as a whistle...
I was like, wow! Relatively painless and all done and dusted in a few minutes. Yes, the area was a little pink for a while afterwards, but it didn't take long to settle down, and the aftercare wipes removed any leftover sticky bits. I honestly don't think I could have had a better experience, and while I'm still dealing with a wee bit of lipstick bleed (courtesy of the wrinkles), the improvement is quite remarkable...
Yep, I'm a convert. Mind you I have no intention of using these anywhere else on my face (I already have no brows to speak of) but for my top lip, this is the go!
