I've had this pumice stone for years & years! The curved side sits in my palm easily, with the pointy end along my index finger while I use the flat side to grind away at my soles. How come, no matter how much of my dead skin it grinds off, none of the pumice has ground away? Hmm
I own a small dish which I keep exclusively for pedicures. I have a leisurely soak, followed by a vigorous pumicing, then I redo my toe nails. I always aim to do this weekly, but when I'm busy, it's often longer between pedicures. This pumice works best after a good soak. Sometimes I use it in the bath, but always as the last thing before I get out, because I don't want to be soaking in those dead flakes of my skin: Ugh!
If you're pushed for time, use this in the shower. Regular use is key if you want to prevent your feet turning into hoofs!
Despite being dropped numerous times on my hard bathroom tiles, the pumice lives yet.
REPURCHASE? I'm in two minds. This pumice is still going strong, but I've had aching hands from grinding on occasion. At those times, I consider upgrading to one of those electronic foot files. I'm still undecided if I'll upgrade or not.
