I too grabbed this on sale last week :) (Who doesn't love a good sale?!)
I have tried SO many concealers and in many formats as well:liquid, powder, thick, thin, runny. sticky, with all sorts of applicators as well.
And I run into the exact same problem with every single one of them: they all share the shame of actually CREATING weird stretchy bags under my eyes! I do have a slight puff, but nothing like what they looked like after each and every experiment I have done with concealers. They all make my skin look stretched out and almost paper-like and frail if that makes any sense.
I saw this L'Oréal palette for a very easy $12, and to be honest I kind of sighed and thought: "well here we go again... this will probably be added to the mounting Pile of Disappointment" but I am on the hunt for a perfect concealer, but I will totally settle for good at this point!
The design of the palette is great, nice and sleek as one would expect from L'Oréal. It is very easy to open the lid, this seems ridiculous to point out but I have broken many a nail on stupidly designed products that you have to pry open with some sort of implement to get open.
There are three beige shades so you can get that perfect colour you need. These guys are here to help you with bags under your eyes and spots. So again, the fact that you have three beiges to play with come in really handy as you use these on other parts of your face.
Then you have the purple and the green. Purple for brightening and hiding dark circles and veins, and the green to neutralise redness and is great to hide blemishes as well.
They blend beautifully as they are a lovely creamy texture. I tried applying with fingers, latex sponge and brush, they all work well (although personally I am a fan of using the warmth of the finger to make the product even more pliable)
This is the first concealer that I found that did not create that stretched under-eye look, not matter how I applied it. It went on smoothly without tugging and creasing. The green also worked beautifully with the tiny veins I have around my nostrils and for colour correcting my chin. The purple was fun to play around with as well!
All up I am pretty happy with this, but I am still on the hunt for THE perfect concealer.
