Great everyday lash

While some people obviously wouldn\'t want to wear eyelashes on a day to day basis, and I usually wouldn\'t either, these Miranda lashes are really fluttery and natural, and although they certainly do add length, they definitely don\'t look out... Read full review

Perfect length and volume

Eye drama

I have the glameyes by Manicure faux lashes in Miranda. The pack is a dark cardboard box with a white plastic tray inside which includes a vial of eyelash adhesive and a pair of gorgeous faux lashes. The lashes are black in colour and the individual strands vary in size. The inner corners are overall shorter but gradually increases in length towards the outer corner. The lashes are already pre-curled for you. The vial of adhesive is an opaque white liquid. Personally, I'm a bit intimidated by faux lashes so I wasn't sure how I felt about the style of lashes. I prefer a more natural look for everyday and so I was waiting for a special occasion to wear these to. I did my eye makeup, applied mascara and curled up my lashes before putting the faux lashes on. I put the lashes against my eyes and measured the length to trim off so the lashes fit my eyes better. I then, applied the adhesive on the band of the lashes, waited a few seconds for the adhesive to turn tacky before applying the lashes along my lash line from the inner corners outwards with a tweezer. I waited a few minutes for the lashes to stick to my lash line before applying mascara to help the faux lashes blend in better with my real lashes. The lashes made my eyes look more open and brighter. They also make my lashes look thicker and longer which added drama to my evening look. I kept the rest of my makeup simple to kind of balance out the dramatic eyes and I didn't get any funny looks so I think the faux lashes were a success. The faux lashes are reusable and I soaked a cotton pad with micellar water over each eye before peeling the lashes off from the outer corner inwards. They came off pain-free and with very little effort. As per instructions I peeled off the adhesive from the lash band and rubbed away any leftover adhesive with oil. Long-term I'm going to reuse these faux lashes till I can't use them any longer because they are going to be my go-to special occasion secret tool for adding a bit of drama to my makeup look. I will repurchase.

Tips

Allow the glue to settle on the false lashes for at least 30 seconds or so prior to applying them to ensure the glue has become tacky and they are easier to apply without moving around too much. You can use micellar water to help remove them at the end of the day but I remove them simply with my fingers.
