A long-term YouTuber I follow always raves about this powder and her recommendations always suit me so I picked up the lightest one I could find which was 110 Creamy Natural. You get 11g of product in an almost laughable plastic compact. If it wasn't for the packaging I'd have given it the full 5 stars
It is quite ridiculous, it has a sticker on the lid that makes it look like a a demo model, then you open the compact and it has a weird little dot of a mirror set into a recess that isn't even in the center of the lid. Seems a little odd and cheap looking - doesn't cover the full inner lid of the compact like every other mirror. The little sponge isn't ideal but for an emergency it could do for a quick touch-up. It has quite a fine velour texture on the puff side and plastic type backing
The powder itself is quite silky and light and doesn't make my skin itch (like so many do). It has a subtle radiance to it - very natural and not shimmery and glittery and just enough to make you look healthy but not sweaty or oily. I pass my powder brush over it very lightly then gently tap it onto areas that need powdering like nose, chin, forehead and to set my concealer. It does a great job of that if you use a light touch - if you get the puff and go patting it all over your face you can quickly get a thick, cakey finish - go light and gentle
The powder has no scent and has a little bit of colour to it so you can build a little coverage if you were using it over a lighter coverage foundation or bb cream. Seems to hold up well on my normal to dry skin and doesn't crease in my under-eye area. Not sure how well it copes with oil as I don't have much natural oil in my skin
Covergirl you really need to change the packaging, I have several other Covergirl compacts and they are quite decent in design (like the Aquasmoothers blue compact). This one seems like a cheap, temporary demo model.
