Most of us are constantly on the lookout for a mascara that will deliver instant volume and length, whilst being clump free and easy to apply. Although I have not managed to find the perfect mascara, I have to say that I have been generally very impressed with Clinique mascaras. When it came to Clinique mascaras, I often didn't purchase them outright but rather, waited to take advantage of the gifts with purchases, which always come with a sample size mascara. However, when the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara came out, I was swayed by its promise of granting extreme volume and decided to purchase it immediately.
I rather like the packaging of the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara as it comes in a fat metallic chrome tube. The design seems to flow along the lines of the Clinique chubby stick, which also incorporates a larger than normal packaging. The wand applicator is also fairly large, which worried me slightly at the beginning. I am quite clumsy when it comes to applying my mascara and thus, I was unsure about how quickly I would be able to adapt to the mascara wand. So you can imagine my amazement when I discovered that I did not have any problems using the mascara wand! It was actually such a breeze to use and apply. The mascara has small plastic bristles on the wand, which I found worked wonderfully in catching all of my lashes, including the short corner lashes and my almost non-existent bottom lashes.
I have the mascara in the shade Extreme Black, which is quite a dramatic and dark black colour as the name suggests. When I used the mascara, I was instantly amazed at how much length and volume had been added to my naturally short lashes. The formula of the mascara is also very great, as it keeps my lashes clump free even after several coats of the mascara. Although the formula of the mascara is quite thick and wet to begin with, it dries fairly quickly – reducing the possibility of smudges under the eyes.
The Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara is also extremely long-lasting, as it does not smudge, smear or flake throughout the day (saving you from the horrible panda eyes :P). Additionally, it can be easily removed with eye makeup remover at the end of the day
I absolutely love how the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara provides me with dramatic lashes full of length and volume throughout the day. It is yet another great mascara from Clinique and I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a good quality mascara that delivers volume without clumping. It will be a worthy recipient of the Glosscars award!
