I've been loving stick foundations after using the Hourglass Vanishing Stick Foundation for the ease of use and versatility of the products. However, the Hourglass foundation was getting too expensive for me and didn't have enough product to justify the price. So I was on the hunt for a stick foundation that would work for me when my bestie bought me the Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation.
Upon first glance, the packaging is sleek and comes in a black tube with a twist up mechanism. I haven't even hit half the stick yet and I've been using mine daily for the past year and a half. I'm in the shade Honey and it matches me perfectly. It has amazing, buildable coverage and you can easily finish your base makeup with a few swipes.
I've used this foundation daily for work and even wore it to parties. It's hydrating enough to not exaggerate any dry patches on my skin but does not slip and slide like a lot of other stick foundations do. I love to swipe the stick across my face a few times and use a flat top buffing brush to gently stipple the product in. If I have a certain area I want more coverage on, I just pick up the product directly with a small concealer brush and pat it on for full coverage.
I've worn this foundation all day and have not had any problems with creasing, but be careful to apply lightly in areas that crease, like under the eyes and laugh lines. I do tend to powder those areas anyway and haven't noticed any big issues. Overall, I'll definitely be repurchasing due to the product and the price can be justified considering the amount of product in the stick.
Tips
If my skin is very dry, I apply a few drops of a light face oil and then apply the foundation on top. I find this gives me enough hydration and prevents the foundation from clinging to dry areas. The foundation can also be used to highlight and contour if you have purchased a shade that is not right for your skin tone. I purchased a shade a tad too light before and it worked great as an under eye brightener!
