I'm typically a razor girl but I was given a chance to try this wax in the Summer Discovery Bag. And boy, it was a scary but good experience!
Since I'm a total newbie at waxing, I started out with my legs, then moved on to the underarms and then finally tried my hand at the bikini area once I got the hang of it. I can confirm this product works on all these areas with minimal issues
There are instructions that come with the product but I had to look up some tips and tricks before starting out as I felt that the instructions were a little too minimal for a beginner with lots of fears and questions
As per the instructions, I heated the tub of wax in my microwave for about 50 seconds to get it to the right consistency. The wax is easier to spread when warm so I would recommend re-heating it for a few seconds once it gets to the point where the wax doesn't spread as well onto the skin using the stick
I have fairly thick, coarse hair and I found that I had to go over some areas two times to get all the hair off. But the wax did a pretty good job of grabbing the hairs since I only had enough time to grow out my hair for 4 days and the hairs were probably just under half a cm long
I have an ok level of pain tolerance and I found it fine on my legs, underarms and bikini area (I didn't go full brazilian though). The only time it really hurt was when I tried to do the finer hairs on my thighs
I did have some difficulty doing my bikini area as I found it hard to get into the right position and stay that way until the wax dried. I had a few incidents where I didn't hold my position for long enough and then the wax glued onto itself >< But that is a user error rather than any fault of this product
A thing that I found annoying was that I could only apply small sections at a time. It was find for my under arms but it made waxing my lower legs take foreverrrrrr. But I also see that it works better for your more delicate downstairs area so you don't have to yank off huge sections at once
One small problem I had with this wax was that it was really hard to remove the remnants that didn't come off with the rest of the wax strip eg. thin sections that clung onto the skin. I tried picking the bits off with my nails but they were stuck on tight! And then they got under my nails and it was hard to get the wax out from under there......this stuff definitely does not wash off with water and soap!
My hair grows back pretty quickly when I epilate so I have to do it every week or so which is a pain in the butt. I'm guessing it will be a similar situation with wax except with less risk of hair breakage. So while I like the results of waxing, I think I will still go back to my trusty razor so I don't have to wear long pants and tops while I grow out my hair
Overall, I think this wax is easy to use (even for newbies like me!) and does not hurt.
