Perfume atomiser

Help… I really need some advice here.

I have a cute little perfume atomiser that I recently found tucked away in a drawer (oh so exciting), but I hadn’t cleaned out the old perfume which has now turned pretty rancid….(oh so off)
How do I get the old smell of off perfume out so i don’t taint my new perfume i want to fill it with? Any Ideas out there?
(I did actually try flushing it with hot brewed Coffee as this is what they give you to clear the nose when smelling a range of perfumes, but this did not work….)

Aromatherapy supply stores usually have amber spray/atomisers usually in 50ml or 100ml if you have one near you..

If not Ebay has a lot of listings for atomiserssprays. For example you can get 3 x 50ml bottles with free postage for $19, other sellers are cheaper but this one is in Australia and has 100% feedback

I got an atomiser from Daiso for $2.80. They have two styles, I got the one with the little crystals which is the one that you have to manually spray into, and another style which looks like the Travolo but I’m not too sure if it works the same way. Either way I’ve filled up mine a couple times (just spraying my perfume into the glass tube and then putting it back into the casing) and it’s not difficult after you get used to it, but I imagine the Travolo is much easier to use.

Oooh awesome thanks guys! I only ever see the manicare one which is an unscrewing type one with a mini funnel which I know I’m tragic with… so the travolo looks perfect!

I’ve seen travalo dupes at The Reject Shop for $2-$4-ish in lots of colours.

On the topic of atomisers… does anyone know where I can get one that fills using a spray mechanism instead of with a funnel? I always spill it and I saw in a Wayne Goss video you can get ones that you just pump the fragrance into. Time consuming but worth it to not spill my beloved perfumes!

I’d fill it with metho & put the lid back on, squirt a few times so the metho goes into the tubes then let it sit for a day. When you take the lid off, leave it to evaporate. Metho evaporates really quickly, but it might take a day or more. If there’s any residual smell after that, I’d use bicarb.

I’m going to have to check my atomisers now. I go through periods of wearing perfume daily to not wearing it at all for weeks.

    Good luck CC!
