Perfect perfumes for any date

Big date coming up? Selecting an outfit is enough to make any girl pull her hair out (and curse her wardrobe), but thankfully, choosing a scent to make him weak at the knees is much easier. Check out our favourite fragrances for date night - whatever or wherever it may be. And try these unconventional spots to spritz them.

PICNIC IN THE PARK
You’ll want something that’s light and airy, like Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. Inspired by daisies and blue skies, this fragrance is ethereal and free, and channels the charm and reverie of youthful romance. Floral and fruity with notes of fresh grapefruit, succulent pear and coconut water, it’s the perfect picnic pick.
A DAY AT THE BEACH
If you’re spending a day on the sand, spritz on something that screams ‘effortless’. Plus, the smell of salt summer air is so great, you don’t want to overpower it with a woody or floral fragrance. We recommend opting for something that heightens the natural scents of the shore. Bobbi Brown Beach, with hints of sea spray, couldn’t be more fitting.
ROMANTIC DINNER
Donning a little black dress? Complement your look with Avon Little Black Dress. Its musky blend of blends gardenia, moonflower and jasmine oozes sophistication and confidence with a twist of playfulness - don’t be surprised if you end up playing footsies under the table all night long.
AFTER WORK DRINKS
Get flirty over a couple of cocktails and drive him wild with So…? Fragrance Kiss Me. To up the seduction stakes, spray this sweet scent - which layers pineapple and blackcurrant with a floral heart - onto your pulse points.
GOING TO THE MOVIES
While the smell of buttered popcorn is divine, it’s crucial to find a fragrance that will make sure your date remembers you long after the snacks are gone. Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll is a bh favourite: it’s sweet, playful and lighthearted (just like you), and will have him leaning in for a closer sniff.
A NIGHT IN
When you decide to stay in and ‘snuggle’, the sensual Calvin Klein REVEAL is an absolute winner. The raw, salty perfume captures the scent of skin. It’s sexy and evokes confidence with a touch of the unexpected.
ROCKING OUT AT A CONCERT
Stand out from the crowd with a hit of BCBGMAXAZRIA bon genre. With bold notes of lychee, red berries, bergamot and black pepper, this strong, daring fragrance is hard to forget.
SUNDAY BRUNCH
While you’re mulling over a mid-morning bite in the sunshine, treat him to a whiff of Molton Brown’s Mahina Fine Fragrance. It fuses notes of ylang ylang and orange blossom to create an exotic, paradise-inspired burst of citrus and floral. Cue the chat about your favourite tropical getaways…
WEDDING GUEST
Being a plus one at a wedding is a pretty big deal, as you’ll have to mingle with a bunch of family members and friends. No pressure! Stay cool with a crisp fragrance like Estee Lauder Pure White Linen. Its freesia, pear, peony and patchouli notes will make an impression without stealing the limelight from the bride.

I think you should stick to perfumes that suit you. Not choose a perfume for a destination.

I would use Pure white Linen for wedding as a BRIDE, not wedding guest! It's a beautiful perfume just a few drops of some refreshing essential oils in my hair rinse. the fragrance stays until next wash, subtle and fresh ove all of these suggestions. Keen to try the Bobbi Brown one just a few drops of some refreshing essential oils in my hair rinse. the fragrance stays until next wash, subtle and fresh

I'm leaning more towards the beautiful bottles rather than the scents themselves.

I cannot stand the smell of baby doll - it is so sickly and over-powering. I am intrigued by the Beach scent though.

Chanel's Allure is the scent I wear that men seem to like most. For a special occasion I put a little spray behind the knees and in the cleavage, as a little something extra.
