Demeter

I just wanted to post about Demeter fragrances. Demeter is great for anyone looking for fragrances to layer to create a signature scent. Demeter is a New York based fragrance house that creates “linear” fragrances (one single note that stays the same as opposed to a fragrance with a top, middle and base note). Their fragrances range from the truely bizzare like Pizza, Funeral Home, Dirt, Earthworms and Crayons- and more. To scents that are a little less unusual like, Gin and Tonic, Christmas Tree, Frozen Pond and Laundromat. To notes that you find regularly in your favourite perfumes like Jasmine, Hawaiian Vanilla, Dragonfruit and Coconut, (my favourites are Lemon Meringue, Baby Powder and Sunshine) just to name a few. Their fragrance library is truely diverse and plentiful.
The fragrances come in 30ml atomisers and can be easily layered to create unique and interesting combinations. They aren’t particularly strong fragrances, so if you’re looking for longevity and sillage these may not be particularly impressive, but the variety definitely is.
I stand at the counter/stand for what feels like hours every time I’ve seen them.
One point I do need to make though is that I have only ever seen these fragrances in-store in the US, I do know they are available in Australia in a few places as I have seen them mentioned in articles in a couple of Australian Beauty and Fashion magazines. You can however find them online and they ship worldwide, the downfall with that of course is that you don’t get to try them first. If anyone knows any stockists here in Oz I would love for you to post!!
I definitely recommend looking them up and trying them out if you have been looking for a particular note or want to try your hand at making your own combination.
I hope this has been helpful:)
