How-to: get your guy smelling great without perfume
There’s just one problem with getting your man to smell sweet.
Most guys have an aversion to perfume. In fact, some positively hate it. Case in point: my husband. Every time I so much as glance over to the perfume counter in the department store he runs screaming in the opposite direction.
So if your man is anything like mine, you will be all too familiar with the woes of getting him to embrace the idea of being fragrant. In the quest to solve this ongoing issue, I’ve come up with a couple of sneaky alternative solutions for scenting my man, perfume-free. Or so he thinks…
Perfume scented soap
Most men will use whatever is on hand in the shower to wash themselves. They’re really not an overly fussy bunch! So if you’re clever, you’ll replace his everyday soap with a scented one. Scented soaps not only smell great when they go on, but they can last on your man’s skin for hours – just like perfume! I’m loving Palmolive for Men Pure Arctic Bar Soap on my man. I giggle to myself every time he returns a puzzled look to someone who asks him what perfume he’s wearing!
Another sneaky way of getting your man to embrace perfume is with a fragrant deodorant. While everyday supermarket deodorants usually have a relatively non-specific smell, fragrant deodorants can be equally as delightful on the nostrils as a new cologne! The only problem is, the really good ones aren’t available from the supermarket, so you’ll just have to sneak it into a bag full of groceries on your way home from the department store. He’ll be none the wiser! I recommend trying Clinique Happy For Men Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick – the scent is identical to the Clinique Happy Perfume! Now how clever is that?!
