I am SO embarrassed by this, but my fiance just loves telling the story every chance he gets (including to my work colleagues!!) I am a really good driver (normally!)
When we first started going out, one of the first nights he stayed over, he parked his car on the street. I was reversing out of my driveway and was so busy checking him out walking to his car, I reversed straight into my solid brick mailbox and caused about $1000 worth of damage!!! By the way, the driveway was dead straight & flat and there was no difficult manoevers required to drive out of it!!
When he tells this story though, I remind him of the time earlier this year when he called the RAA because the car wouldn`t start & he thought it had a flat battery. Very difficult to start an automatic car when you leave it in reverse though, isn`t it darling?!?!?! Ha ha ha ha ha!
