Thanks for the the Essie review!!I like it when you find swatches that tell you how many coats it took to get the true or opaque colour. I dont want to be buying a polish that looks great in the bottle but takes a million coats to get that colour! One I`m just not patient enough for that (I get annoyed and just want to applyu the next coat and it wont ever dry!) and its just such a waste of product! Plus I dont like feeling like I have a ton of coats on my nails! I`ve found alll my China Glaze polishes (except one…) go opaque in 2 coats (some even only need one)
The only CG one I have that needs 3 coats is Kaleidoscope Him Out. But I love that colour too much to care! lol. It has to be one of my absolute favourites. I really wanted some others from that collection but I`m pretty sure they were limited edition sort of things that are pretty hard to find now =(.
It can be a bit fiddly Mel and can take a bit of time, but I find it is a FANTASTIC procrastination technique when Uni semester starts =P (aka now!) or for when I`m super bored in teh holidays.. I`ve also become a really fidgety person – like I cant just sit and watch tv. I like to be doing something aswell… whether its having the computer on my lap etc. Thats usually when I do my nails. I do one coat. Then the next ad break its nearly time for another! lol By the end of the show I`ve got a whole new nail combo going on lol.
I find the only “”design”” I seem to use alot is the french tip one. It makes french manicures so easy for me as I`ve always been hopeless at them. When I`m going out somewhere nice it takes alot of fuss out of trying to get nails that look neat and clean. Otherwise the rest are mostly just for fun.. I actually use alot of the other ones for cards. I always make my own birthday/christmas cards etc for people and I honestly use the same system to stamp little embellishments on cards! Lol So they get used for more than my nails 😀 whcih is good i think lol (well it makes me feel less guilty about buying them all lol)
