palmers shea butter for stretch marks. Unfortunately after 3 kids and weight loss i still have them. I have earned my tiger stripes.
What great products!
Bio Oil on tummy was the best
I never got any stretch marks after having my son..
I like the Palmer's one. I smell amazing after using their cocoa butter.
Blessed with good genes was my remedy for stretch marks!
I used nothing and 3 kids later had no stretch marks - but my sister had 2 kids, used cream for stretch marks, and, yes, she did get stretch marks. But I'm sure it helps.
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen so many new products for will be mums. What on earth did they do before any of these were invented????
I couldn't live without the breastpads ~ I constantly sprung leaks wherever I went.
Wish I saw this article when I was pregnant... Oh well definitely must look back to this on my next pregnancy :)
Cocoa butter applied twice daily to the belly is a must...it definitely prevents stretch marks. I can also attest to medical grade lanolin for nipples, especially while breast feeding....and the nursing pads if you tend to leak (like I did).
I never really had issues, lucky I guess that I didn't need anything like the products above. I do love lanolips though, & always have Palmer products in the bathroom
Palmers stratch mark lotion or cream is good for sore nipples and stretch marks. For the vaginal thrush my gp gave me canestan which is just superb but use your finger for applying inside your vagina if you need to.
Oh the joys of being a mum. I used Lucas' PawPaw ointment for when my belly and nipples were really itchy and sore. Otherwise I just used cocoa butter when things weren't so bad.
I used Bio Oil when I was pregnant, it was a fantastic massage oil in general. Sore nipples were an issue for me as nothing seemed to help soothe. I suppose since then there are a lot more products on the market to combat this. Sore and cracked nipples are no fun. They used to have a thing called a nipple guard, I do not know if they still make them.
I hear Bio-oil is really good, even though I have never tried it, when it comes to baby time, i think i will keep it in mind!
wish i knew about stretch mark stuff before i got them :(
Carefree liners, lanolips and the cocoa butter tummy butter are definately must haves
The Lanolips Ointment sounds lovely.
I really want to try the Lanolips 101 Treatment.
The Palmer's Tummy Butter sounds great for stretch marks, I love Palmer's products.
Great products to help soothe the skin.
Great products I have not really got any special remedies but I do know try and maintain your beauty up keep and I usually gets something for the mum to be, like a nice oil something to make herself feel beautiful as the mums always miss out.
Hey Laraj, no, it doesn't treat thrush - it just helps to neutralise the pH level in your vagina, which can help to minimise the chance of bacterial infections. Those who believe they may have thrush, should definitely go and see a GP. xx
I am a bit confused about the use of Vagisal during pregnancy. Does it treat thrush? If not you should really be seeing a doctor.
