Strangest baby names of 2013

Choosing a name for your baby is a huge responsibility. It’s the name they’re going to be called for the rest of their life and the name that everyone will know them by. It’s a task that most parents put a lot of thought, time and energy into, making sure that the name they choose is absolutely perfect. But then there are parents who want their child to stand out, be different and have a unique name that nobody else has. And while I’m not opposed to unique names, there are some that are just, well… I don’t know how they were allowed to put it on the birth certificate.
STRANGEST BABY NAMES 2013 - BOYS
Cheese
I had just started to come to terms with fruits now being acceptable as baby names, do we really need to start on the dairy products too?
Rekker
If he ever breaks anything you won’t exactly be able to yell at him, will you?
Panda
Anything that can be found in a zoo should be off limits.
Osbaldo
Approximately 25 per cent of men start balding in their thirties. So many jokes will be made.
Babao
No teacher is ever going to pronounce this correctly.
Xano
The name may earn you a heap of points in scrabble, but is it really worth it?
STRANGEST BABY NAMES 2013- GIRLS
Rainbow
I can’t say I expected much more from Holly Maddison, who loves anything associated with gold.
North
Kris Jenner explained that Kim’s choice of the name means ‘the highest power’. We hope that amount of pressure doesn’t make things go south for little Nori.
Blip
I don’t even know what to say about this one. Poor kid.
Fairy
I’d hate to know what will happen if people don’t believe in her.
Kiwi
Ok I lied, I still don’t get the fruit as a name thing. Plus she’ll never be able to go to New Zealand.
Feline
Yes babies do drink milk, but it doesn’t make them cats.
Are you a fan of ‘unique’ baby names? How did you decide on a name for your child?

Whenever parents give their children silly names, I question whether they should be parents.

I have used spell casting to get my ex husband back to me and also get pregnant with twins girls through the help of a great and trusted spell caster after 12 years of marriage.
When I came online last year, I met a testimony about Priest ODUNGA who has been helping people and I decided to contact him. We spoke on email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and later he gave me his Whats App number which is +2348167159012 and he assured me he would help me get my ex husband back after 3 years of no contact. My husband left me because I was unable to give him a child for 9 years after our marriage. There was no contact between us anymore and I didn't know how to get to him. Priest Odunga is the best spell caster I must say. My husband called me after 24 hours of contacting Priest Odunga. Soon I received a herbal medicine for fertility from this man, I became fertile. I and my husband reconnected that very week, had sex and I became pregnant. Today, I am happy today to be the mother of twins girls and this is ALL THANKS TO PRIEST ODUNGA. I came online to say this If you need help, I believe you are saved with this spell caster. Contact his email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and you too will give a testimony too to help others

oh wow! I like unique names but these are just too weird. It is really hard being a teacher and being able to pronounce some of my kids names let alone being able to teach them how to spell their name. I think parents need to take that into consideration and think about the pronunciation and spelling of their child's name and if it can be used to rhyme with anything in particular in relation to bullying or teasing. For example I tought a young girl called Rain pretty name but then the kids would say to her Rain Rain go away come again another day.

Unique names can be good but none of these sound good. I would be embarrassed to tell people what my name was if I had any of those names. I think it will make things difficult for the child. Even in adult life. People will be asking 'what were your parents thinking?'

I seriously wonder what some people are thinking (or are on) when they choose some of these names for their child. Each to their own, but sometimes I wonder how the kids will feel when they get older.

How sad for these kids. I had a hard enough time with a normal name... Janis. The Celtic spelling as opposed to the french spelling Janice. I was forever having to say ''as in Joplin''. Maximum irritation value - we lead stressful lives, why pile on more? There is a difference between unusual names and silly, mean names. Are you so selfish that your child's psychological wellbeing means nothing to you? It's not a little dolly to play with. You are responsible for making this person a well-adjusted responsible adult. (Obviously something that you are not if you named your son 'Cheese'). I don't think 'Nori' is a cute nickname for poor little North... it's seaweed. Any person who thinks this type of cruelty is fine... you don't have a ridiculous name yourself, obviously. My friends have christened their baby ''Scarlett'', that's bad enough, she's already gotten 'Scarlett the harlot'' from other kids in the family. Everyone else thinks it's a stripper name, like 'Dallas' and 'Taylor'. (I overheard people at the christening, and kind of agreed). What does this do to you when you are a 12 yr old girl and emotionally super-vulnerable? If you really MUST give a silly name, give it as a second name, that way the child can choose between the two in adulthood

Wow what is wrong with these people!? I must admit, choosing baby names is so hard! I am having a little girl this year and you have to think about matching the surname, what it can be shortened to... what it might rhyme with...which friends have already got the same name ... ugh.
