Babies on board

I have two heavily pregnant cousins (no joke, I really do!). Which means I have two baby shower gift packs to put together. Two different, ‘I-totally-didn’t-buy-you-the-same-things’ gift packs.
First reaction: Yikes!
Then I remembered where I work and set my sights on Johnson’s Baby (err, have you seen that their entire product range is now up on site?! Woo-hoo for me!), and Avado Organics to help sort me out in the baby gifting department.
So here’s what I came up with:
Gift Pack #1
- Johnson’s baby Top-to-Toe – I’m guessing I’ll earn some serious brownie points with cousin #1 for saving her some time when it comes to washing her bub from head to toe without hurting the little one’s eyes.
- Avado Organics Baby Naturals Organic Bottom Balm – nappy rash isn’t fun for anyone, so this wonder will keep baby’s bottom rash-free and tears at bay.
- Avado Organics Baby Naturals Sunscreen – a summer baby means sunscreen is an absolute must! This all-natural, gentle sunscreen has an SPF30+, so my cousin can be sure her bub will be perfectly protected from UVA and UVB rays.
Gift Pack #2
- Avado Organics Baby Naturals Bath Milk – cousin #2 can keep her little one’s skin soft and supple with this avocado oil, olive oil, and oat protein bath soak. Essential for cuddle time.
- Johnson’s baby Fragrance Free Travel Wipes – messes and spit-ups on the go? No problemo with these fragrance-free wipes that will be gentle enough for the newborn. The perfect staple for her baby bag.
- Johnson’s baby Oil – who can go past Johnson’s baby Oil when it comes to a baby shower gift? Besides the fact that it soothes, nourishes, and moisturises, it epitomises the smell of a baby. And hey, it’s handy for mum too!

Nawww! We can’t get enough of these celeb bubs…
What gifts would you take to a baby shower or give to a new mum?

I have used spell casting to get my ex husband back to me and also get pregnant with twins girls through the help of a great and trusted spell caster after 12 years of marriage.
When I came online last year, I met a testimony about Priest ODUNGA who has been helping people and I decided to contact him. We spoke on email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and later he gave me his Whats App number which is +2348167159012 and he assured me he would help me get my ex husband back after 3 years of no contact. My husband left me because I was unable to give him a child for 9 years after our marriage. There was no contact between us anymore and I didn't know how to get to him. Priest Odunga is the best spell caster I must say. My husband called me after 24 hours of contacting Priest Odunga. Soon I received a herbal medicine for fertility from this man, I became fertile. I and my husband reconnected that very week, had sex and I became pregnant. Today, I am happy today to be the mother of twins girls and this is ALL THANKS TO PRIEST ODUNGA. I came online to say this If you need help, I believe you are saved with this spell caster. Contact his email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and you too will give a testimony too to help others

I was given a beautiful bottle of perfume when I had my baby. A nice gift would be a palmer coco butter pack.

Sorry Carli - I added an unnecessary "e" to your name - just remembered one gorgeous gift my daughter-in-law got. Baby clothes wound into a lovely floral arrangement. Almost too pretty to unwind but with a great selection of useable clothes arranged as really pretty flowers.

Great gift ideas, Carlie! I usually try to get something the mother wouldn't buy herself - a gorgeous, slightly indulgent toy or a lovely skin care item. Depending on who it's for I often buy something specifically for the new Mum, rather than the new baby.

Great ides, nappies in a gift pack are always a good gift - you can never have too many newborn nappies!

Sometimes one person who is organising gets a baby bath and fill it with everthing from baby land and you put in or you could do your own little gifts basket. If its more personal Basket with baby lotions and potion and something for the mum as her skin will need some attention, photo frame a teddy its hard, but goes with the lotion and potions and somthing for the mother especially if she has other children.

I am trying to get pregnant at the moment, and as I am a little bit older, I am having difficulty. I have gone through all the baby showers with friends and family, so I hope someone is as generous as you when my time comes.

I love Avado Organics! I used it on my son when he was a baby and was impressed with how gentle it was, and how soft it left his skin.

Id give a new mum Gaia products for bub and all the consumable stuff she will have to buy over and over like nappies and wipes. Im sure many new mums get so many sets of clothes and booties and other products to churn thru that getting something they wont have to run to the shops to buy if they run out would be thoughtful.

I avoid giving toys and go for functional and educational things, very individual though gotta ask the mum what she'd prefer.

I work in my local cooperative arts and crafts store. One memorable woman came in, saw all the lovely knitted baby dresses and cardigans and declared, with six (six!) baby showers in the next two weeks, she was in heaven. She bought up big. Lesson: if you have time and wool, knit yourself a pressie.

Sounds great! I wish when i was pregenant relatives gave me this rather than clothes which he grew out of within a couple of months! And its a great way for a new mum to save money!

i usually get something for the mum instead of the bab, feels that mum get pretty neglected during baby shower! but they sure deserve so much more pampering than the star of the day!

You have done a great thing for both the mums and i have done something similar when my daughter had her shower. I went and got alot of things like you have done; and i added some nice things for my daughter and got her some scented creams etc. And got a basket and put it together with bow at the top...Like in the shops..So well done on 2
