The make-up brush that comes with a waiting list

We often hear of women waiting months for the latest fashion accessories, but now a beauty tool has a following to rival that of even the trendiest designer handbag.

Yep, make-up artist Wayne Goss’ ‘The Holiday Brush’ has a waiting list of more than 13,000 women – and counting.

The coveted brush is handmade in Kumano, Japan – a region known for its expert craftsmanship of beauty accessories – with 100 per cent cruelty-free natural hair.

Thanks to its fluffy, slightly tapered shape, it’s apparently perfect for applying all types of powder including blush, highlighter and bronzer (which is just as well, because at $85, it doesn’t come cheap).

The demand for the brush is rather unprecedented, although Goss’ 1.8 million YouTube followers may have something to do with it.

UK vloggers and bloggers have also been giving it rave reviews, which also explains the hype.

If you’re interested in trying the brush for yourself, it’s available at international retailer Beautylish – although you might have to wait a while!”¨
In the meantime, I recommend Artiste Popping Pink Duo Stippling + All Over Shadow Brush and Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Cosmetic Stippling Brush. They’re a bit more affordable and just as versatile.

After all, there’s no doubt a basic make-up brush kit is a must for any beauty – but I’m just not prepared to vie with 13,000 women for one!
