beautyheaven says:

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation is a liquid foundation with SPF 18. It is designed to be comfortable to wear while mimicking your skin’s texture and tone so you can’t even tell you’re wearing foundation – no matter if you’re standing in a dimly-lit room or under the fluorescent lights of a bathroom.

When it came to the foundation’s texture and consistency, it was almost unanimous that the liquid was runnier than most foundations and it applied easily and could be blended in well. Reviewers said it felt lightweight on the skin while still giving great coverage for a natural and radiant day look. While some members enjoyed the fact that the foundation gave light-to-medium coverage, others found it wouldn’t have been sufficient to cover blemishes. Members with oilier skin did find that the needed to powder their T-Zone to control shine, especially on warmer days.

In terms of colour match, many reviewers were impressed with how well the foundation suited their skin tones and they appreciated that there were plenty of shades to choose from (there are 12 in total).

“I chose the Soft Beige shade, which is a spot-on match for my skin tone. It comes in a lovely slender bottle. It has a fruity smell, I am not a fan of, I do prefer a more subtle powder smell – however I will not take points off for that. As the foundation itself is easy to apply, either with a foundation brush or sponge. It is creamy and feels silky when applying on, giving a fresh look. Best of all, the coverage is really good. Despite feeling light, it lasted all day and I only have to powder t-zone ONCE(!!!) throughout the day.” – Yvette roseRead full review
“The Match Perfection foundation is runnier than I’m used to, but I quickly adapted to the consistency. It has a light fresh fragrance with appealed to me. It felt light on my skin and although it gave great coverage I felt like it just disappeared into my skin.” – marcie4–  Read full review

“It covers well enough to even out the skin tone but you may need a concealer to hide major discoloration or blemishes. For me it’s enough for a daytime foundation, especially that is lightweight and doesn’t look obvious. The foundation leaves beautiful finish – a healthy-looking skin that doesn’t look oily.” – Magda84Read full review

“The Match Perfection claim was spot on for me, as Light Porcelain 10 suited my skin tone perfectly. I found the texture to be of a slightly runny consistency and would have preferred more of a mousse consistency, but this is a small qualm.” – butterflyRead full review

“As it is such a light, thinly textured foundation, I didn’t expect to be overly impressed, but was I wrong! A little over half a pump provides adequate coverage for my face, and creates a smooth, glowing base, which allows my skin to breathe. I would rate the coverage as a little more than medium, so I don’t feel as if it’s hiding my skin, actually, my skin feels, and (probably more importantly for a foundation!) looks natural.” – blueroseRead full review
