I don’t know about you but I used to be punctual. ‘Used to be’ being the operative phrase. These days I seem to find it harder and harder to drag my sorry self out of bed in the mornings, which normally means I’m either a) running out of the house with toothpaste down my front (it has to be at least lunchtime before stains down your jumper become acceptable); b) sporting hair that Barbara Streisand would be jealous of (combined with my big-shouldered jacket I may unwittingly be convincing people that we have, in fact, stepped back in time); c) all of the above. The long and short of it is: my beauty routine is suffering because I simply can’t get out of bed. I’m not going to be rash and say I’ll set my alarm earlier (if I did I’d snooze it anyway, so what’s the point?) but I will live by these mantras and adopt a shorter beauty routine: Forget about foundation and invest in a good concealer – a dot of it in sallow and blemished areas will do the trick in less than five seconds flat.
